A Typical day at work consisted of receiving parts, stock transfers, location creation and allocation, solving technical issues with other employees. I learned a great deal on how inventory works, how to properly maintain it. The Job itself was great, I had really good people as my co-workers. Management unfortunately was really lacking in my department, as my manager had no knowledge of the actual job and how it worked. There was no real leadership coming from management, and it seemed like intimidation and aggressive tactics were the way to go for them but holding no real responsibility for how the job was done or maintained. My co-workers were really great people, I learned a lot from them on how certain electronic parts worked, how the job worked. Everyone as far as co-workers go were really helpful in helping me develop the skills that I retained from the position. The Hardest part of the job was trying to do everything in an orderly fashion, which is in part because of suppliers not labeling the parts that were coming in, or paperwork not being given for a PO#. Trying to fix the aisles of parts that were mismanaged for years so stock was misplaced, unlabeled or missing quantity where it should have had. The Most enjoyable part of the job had to be The freedom to do the job, but that was also part of the problem as well. It seems certain people were intent with keeping things the way they were without thinking of the consequences of their inaction to fix all of the issues the department faced, and still faces now.

Jam is a good place to work apart from the pay being uncompetitive. It is a good place to gain experience and then you are best to move on because you'll make a much better salary elsewhere. The benefits aren't great either although I feel like they are working on making that better- a great bonus is that  you can leave a couple hours early on fridays during the summer. Its unfortunate the salaries just aren't comparable to other companies because it would be a good place to work. I dont believe they have a proper system in place on how to allocate certain salaries to certain jobs - if they do it's very hush hush. I feel like there is a reason they dont let you know the salaries when you apply for the job. I feel like it can be a waste of time going through the interview process just to realize the salary they are willing to offer is not what you expect. They also discourage you to discuss salaries with coworkers which you have every right to do. Other then the salaries, it is a decent workplace. It's a good place if you are willing to sacrafice salary to gain experience in a new feild. 

Within a few months of working in Jam I noticed my day-to-day tasks became extremely monotonous and non-challenging. 
I asked multiple times for the senior team members to be involved in more areas, even insisting that I would be willing to take courses or certificates in fields they required to expand my range.
I never got an answer from them.
Slowly all the processes I was tasked with started becoming automated and without prior warning - after them assuring my job was safe - my contract was terminated.

They are a company that has their offices in a remote location. Not easy to commute there for those who do not have a vehicle. There is absolutely nothing around the place and the office is dull and old-fashioned. 
They will however rigidly enforce that you have to assist with the office policy despite once being there you will be in a cubicle just as isolated from your colleagues as you would be at your own home.

As a person that enjoys playing guitar, and making music, this job presented a very unique and exciting opportunity to experience the full immersion of musical instruments, newest speaker technologies, and tight ship warehouse environment. I really enjoyed working for JAM and made a lot of friends in my time there. the managers were always approachable for any issue, and always willing to help improve the processes when good ideas came forward. I really felt valued as an employee and was without a doubt treated as a valued asset

I worked there for a couple of years and at the end I was so frustrated that decided to leave. Salaries were way lower than same positions in other companies. Lots of meetings at the warehouse just to remind us who the bosses were. It made me feel like I was back in high-school. Workers can't slip once, they get fired right away. Bosses can do anything and only get suspended for a week or two.

Terrible place to work. If your not actually doing the work you were hired for like picker or receiving work, your cleaning the floors or dusting racks. Management looks out for each other and not employees. 1 hour lunches unpaid sucks too. Only good things were the Christmas parties and the employees are good people. Pay is trash for what they do and the Management treats you like your a teenager. God forbid your family calls with an emergency and they catch you on your phones you can get fired. Worst warehouse I've worked at and I've worked at 4 in that industrial park.

Loved the atmosphere. The musical industry is a great place to work. Loved the interactions with the repair technicians. The most enjoyable part of my job was taking calls from irate customers (the calls that my team could not handle) and actually feeling and hearing the smile in the customers voice before closing the call.  The hardest part was computers. I dislike computers. I love working with people and handling problems. I loved managing people and teaching them the importance of great customer service.

This company on paper expect you to work 40 hour but once you start you realize you are regularly expected to do more. Employees are over-worked and not shown appreciation. The salaries are not up to par with other companies. They are ver secretive with salaries and dont want people to share information. They pay roughly 25% less then what other companies offer for the same position.  It is too bad because if it wasn't for that I think the company would be more popular.  You only see older people in the company . Not many younger people stick around. 

Hr at Jam is beyond terrible. They will never help you..they are part of management and do absolutely nothing for the employees 
Management does not like if you have kids or other obligations outside of work you must always put your job before your well being and your family... they claim to be a best managed company...I could not disagree more

Absolutely by far some of the best people work here.. awesome coworkers such a shame they work for a ungrateful company

Boring. 830-530 everyday. No work life balance. The morale on that place is abysmal everyone feels stuck and depressed.The boss hovers over you like a spider always watching what you're doing making you feel like a convict very creepy. Many others in my department complained of the same no training and then got fired because they weren't doing their job properly, even after constantly asking the boss for more training the boss did nothing. She actually just ignores your emails.
