Express Personnel Services

My experience at this placement service was excellent, they always had an assignment for me until I found something permanent.  The management was also very personable and got along with everyone.  The hardest part was the fact that the placement would end but this placement service always made me feel better as they would always call within a few days of my assignments to offer another position.

My typical day at an Express Personnel assignment was a 8 hour day with breaks and some assignments were early (before shift ended) dismissals. Some of them through in an extra bonus. They would round up your time cards if you did a honest days work and finished the assignment early.

I signed up for administrative support and was given some great assignments that were anywhere from 3-6 months. 
I really enjoyed the variety of work and employers and because I am a people person it was not hard to fit into whatever scenario I was assigned to. 
They typically had you signed up and ready to go to your next assignment so there were no gaps in employment. Great company.

I worked and 8hr shift or at times a 10 hr shift and typically just inspect solar panels and talk with co-workers at lunch.
I learned about inspection of parts and the quaility companys look for in their products.
Management was easy to get along with
My co-workers were great people made new friends
I didn't really find my job hard, I enjoyed what I did
What i enjoyed most about my job is my co-workers

This company is a temp agency, they interview each candidate individually, to find a perfect fit for that individual from there job bank.Again this is a temp agency, so other than then the management and select staff finding, and sending you to an interview there wasn't any workplace culture that I can speak of,

When your able to get a job placement its fine for the most part

Super busy most of the time which I liked. Learned to enter data into QuickBooks. All employees were very kind. It's a relaxed workplace culture. Leaving things not finished was the hardest part of the job. I enjoyed being kept busy.

Some of the placement seem difficult at the beginning, then after a  couple weeks it becomes mundane and boring.. By then your placement us using winding down anyways:) And if you perform as expected and following all safety rules and pro6you  will have another placement quickly.

but if you are looking for a full time job it is not the place to go

I was promised each position I took that it would work into a full time position and they never paned out.   but it is a temp agency so should of been to surprised.

When I couldn't find work when I moved to Hamilton, they where very helpful in helping find work related to my skills and got me to know my way around the city with ease. If ever you are stuck and need something to help get you by until you find that right job, this is the place to go!
