I worked at F&P for 6 years and for the first 3 I loved my job, however, it was the same job day in and day out.  Nothing ever changed.  The only changes that ever happen is if you change departments.  So if you like doing the same routine daily, then this job would be perfect.  The job is mindless and so I wouldn't expect to learn much after you know the job.  But the people who work alongside you are wonderful people. I would work with all of them over and over again.

Management is a different story.  Management does have favourites.  If you are not a favourite I would reconsider working here.  If they like you then you will get things handed to you on a silver platter, but if not you will be struggling to get by.  Management wasn't a fan of me, and so after my first 3 years, they started to pick on me and put me in areas I didn't know just because they could. I liked going in and knowing my job, not going in and not having a clue only to find out I was somewhere I didn't want to be.

You get targeted if peoplein management don't like you, then they watch your every move and wait for every chance they can get to write you up for something or fire you. Not a good workplace environment. Lead hands are rude, drama-oriented, unprofessional, and have no idea how to run an assembly line. Their bad days are taken out on you. Management is a close group of people who have eachothers backs but have no care or sympathy for their associates working for them on the floor, and they get away with it because there's no union. Another frustrating thing they can get away with is not giving heat breaks, even though in the summer on the floor there's no AC and temperatures are 30-39 degrees, they still won't, and don't have to. If you want to have a high school atmosphere for your job, and get treated literally like a slave, then this is the place to work! 

F & P is a very employee driven company.  They provide subsidized meals, great health benefits and pay by the minute.  Some of the employees who have been there for a long time can have very poor and antiquated attitudes and resist any chance to update or improve the computer systems.  However, for the most part, it is a great place to work and they treat their employees well.  The social functions are very enjoyable, they recognize your birthday and have weekly meetings so you have an idea about what is going on with the company.  I liked it here, unfortunately, I did not like the department or its' clique-y behavior.

The equipment that were at the disposal of IT people was great and we had the opportunity to make sense of IT production environment and sense the pressure involved for the need for reliable accurate information. I managed to actually work with most theories that I had learnt. The environment was extremely noisy and polluted. It was hard to concentrate on developing computer programs, but we did make a lot of useful programs and provided the required information that the management needed for their decision making.

Manufacturing environment was constantly busy. It was very noisy and the air was polluted. IT work was very interesting but hard to concentrate because of environment. I was a developer and needed deep focusing on the code, but the environment made it rather difficult. I completed what I wanted to achieve and that was to make easy access possible for all departments to get their information for decision making, something that was partly or not at all possible for some decision makers.

Fast-paced, 5s-culture, rotating shifts, diversified business (customers include Honda, GM,  stellantis). Part of F-Tech. Floor departments in Plant 1 include stamping, welding, quality, hydro forming, paint, and material services. Plant 2 is Assembly. Manufacture subframes. Benefits are decent. Associates train associates … know what you’re getting into. Typical mix of awesome people to work with and some you can’t explain why they’re still employed. Experience in a factory/warehouse or automotive an asset, but no experience is necessary. 

Stay away from this industry. They dont care of there employees. They always hire through hiring company and temps treated like shitt.. People are rude and racist. Everything is lie about what they promise. No permanent hiring after 500 hours. No benefits through out 1st year. No stat pay for temps. And if you miss a day, good bye to be hired permanently. As a temp, if you miss a day, your department will try to kick you out to some other department. Horrible horrible horrible place to work

My experience working in the factory was great! The work easy and everyone was fairly easy to get along with. The issue at hand would most definitely have to be the management! It takes a long time to advance with the company, and overall the feeling is just that they don't care about the staff!  Would i recommend anyone to work there? I would have to leave that decision up to the person interested in applying, as my experience was not the worst, but it could have been better!

Its a pretty decent working environment, Its fast work but overall fairly easy and brainless. The staff is fairly friendly in a working environment but during breaks you'll tend to sit by yourself unless you push your way into a group. The breaks are shortened to 10/20/10 but the supervisorsgenerally don't make a big deal if yoi spend a little longer returning from break.

Placed products into a machine and swiped the buttons, stocking the  bins to continue the fast pace of the line. Stay on my feet for the full 8 hours minus lunch and break. Learned tasks of repairing small fixes to keep machines operating and all the machines on the assembly line. Management was always helpful and willing to train. Co-workers were friendly and communicative. Hardest part of the job was transitioning from shift work.
