As a Technician, my experience has been challenging due to significant issues with upper management, workload, and cultural shifts within the team. When I first joined, the company had a strong, collaborative culture, and team members genuinely cared about supporting each other. However, things took a drastic turn after some key members left. With them went the mentorship, team spirit, and core knowledge that made this role fulfilling.

Since those changes, upper management has shown little interest in our team’s well-being or growth. Communication is sparse, decisions are made without any input from those who actually understand the work, and unrealistic expectations are set without the necessary resources to achieve them. This disconnect from upper management has led to a lack of clear direction, leaving many of us feeling frustrated and unsupported.

The workload has also become overwhelming, with constant demands to cover additional responsibilities. There’s a clear lack of staff, yet no effort has been made to address this issue by hiring or even acknowledging the excessive workload. Many technicians, myself included, find ourselves handling tasks far below our skill level just to keep things moving. This is not only demoralizing but also a waste of our expertise.

Overall, the culture has shifted from one of teamwork and growth to a place where burnout and dissatisfaction are common. Without a commitment from leadership to address these core issues, I would hesitate to recommend this position to other skilled professionals looking for a positive work environment and career growth.

Pros: Original team was collaborative and supportive.

Cons: Poor upper management, high workload, low morale, experienced technicians doing entry-level work, lack of opportunities for professional growth.

Unfortunately, my experience with F12.Net has been less than ideal. Despite working here for a few years, it’s clear that the company struggles to provide opportunities for growth. Career progression is stagnant, and there is a noticeable lack of support for employee development or advancement.

Compensation is below industry standards, which is disappointing given the demands of the role and the expertise required. The lack of competitive pay further discourages long-term commitment from employees.

Professionalism within the company is also lacking. Leadership fails to set a strong example, and there is little to no effort made to foster a positive, motivating work environment. Instead of feeling like part of a team, employees often feel unsupported and undervalued.

One of the most significant issues, however, is the company’s poor communication. Important updates or changes are rarely communicated effectively, leaving employees in the dark and scrambling for clarity. This lack of transparency and clear direction not only frustrates the staff but also impacts the quality of work delivered to clients.

Overall, F12.Net needs significant improvements in areas like employee growth, pay, professionalism, and especially communication. Until these issues are addressed, it’s hard to recommend this company to potential employees or clients.

My experience at F12.net has been challenging, primarily due to a lack of focus on employee well-being. Management often seems more concerned with cost-cutting measures than recognizing the contributions of staff. There have been instances where employees, regardless of their position, were let go without much consideration for their loyalty or performance.

They will fire you in a heartbeat if they find someone who can do your job for $1000 less no matter if you’re a director or a technician.

Additionally, I found the work environment to be difficult at times, particularly in interactions with the head of IT. There were moments where I felt the communication and leadership style did not align with professional standards, which led to a less than ideal atmosphere. It was disappointing to feel that personal biases influenced workplace dynamics.

If you're seeking a workplace that prioritizes employee growth, mutual respect, and a positive atmosphere, this may not be the right fit. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the company based on my experience.

I see a lot of people complaining about the workload and stress, but welcome to a large-scale service desk. Do you think they just hang around playing games at Microsoft or Apple? No
I have learned more at F12 in the first 6 months than I did in 2 years at my last MSP.

A lot of I.T professionals come in thinking they are amazing and get upset when they find out how truly limited they are. 
This job gives you the ability to learn and hone your skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Every day is a new challenge that you can choose to meet or slink away from. 

Does F12 have issues? Of course, every company has its own issues, but I have worked at places with far far worse. 

If you have issues handling both stress and a fast-paced environment, maybe look at another job. 
If you want a job that will challenge you and get you ready for the real work of I.T. Give F12 a call. 

As a secondary note, F12 also offers paid certifications for job-related studies. 


A typical day was to answer 50+ calls a day, and be given tasks you never had time to do.  The coworkers were amazing!
I learned time management skills in one of my roles there. Managing an inbox is super crucial.
Management is very serious (as they ought to be) but does not relate well to the front line staff.
The culture, join in or be left out.  It's just like high school, if you're popular, you're good, if not, expect to be laid off.
I loved what I did, and did EVERYTHING for the client, I would start early or work late to ensure the clients got the service they were paying for.  I would miss breaks and lunch to ensure 100% satisfaction.  I made amazing client relationships and was warmly regarded by all that were in my portfolio.  At the end of the day, going the extra mile was not recognized by upper management and taking PTO is the best advice I can give anyone who is still there.  

From the first day working there, I knew F12.net was something unique. 

From the new state of the art office that also houses their own data-center to the vast clientele they support. I'm talking car dealerships, accounting firms, law firms, construction companies, day cares, the list goes on and on. You get exposure to Windows Servers, remote management tools, different types of computer hardware, firewalls and cloud infrastructures. 

I learned more working at F12.net than going to school for IT. For someone who is fresh out of school, this is the place to be. You will be able to grow your skills to succeed in this field.

You are surrounded by industry veterans and smart minds. They are supportive and want you to succeed in your career. They are always there to help you.

Work life was great. Location was easy to get to by transit if needed, private parking available, large open office, lots of places to go for lunch. Staff in the office were helpful - even the ones at head office. Really enjoyed my short time there. Although, workload was very hard for one individual. Could be somewhat overwhelming at times. Managers and staff would ask how I was doing but it was hard to approach some people for support as it seemed like everyone was "too busy" to help. I believe management should undergo some training on various skills in the management field and relations. More policies and procedures need to be structured in company to give all staff more support. The one downfall in not having an HR department!

A typical day would involve arriving 15 minutes early to respond to emails, go over scheduling and tickets, and maybe share breakfast with your co-workers. Then off to visit your amazing clientele and deliver great service that rarely went unnoticed or unappreciated.
At the end of the day, it was back to the office to unwind, schmooze and brainstorm. And maybe get caught up in an all out impromptu NERF war.
I cannot stress enough the company's focus on their employees AND clients satisfaction. F12 has a corporate culture that is invigorating, inviting, encompassing, and fun. Annual client appreciation shindigs that get everyone involved, technology driven events, and ample opportunity to grow your career as you desire.

F12's technical team can be stressful as technicians are often working multiple tasks and ticket simultaneously.

I have been with F12 for some time, and overall would describe it as both the most rewarding company I have ever worked for. Advancement is there and likely if you put the work in, but there can be a lot of work place politics. There has been advancement in dealing with the politics in the last couple years, but it appears to be a stagnant progression at this time.

Fast growing company with tight knit longterm staff, but high turnover from those that couldn't handle the pace and pressure. I dont think the pace is communicated clearly enough to new hires as they are often shocked and overwhelmed, but if they ask for help they get it.

Front line managment is overall supportive and understanding.

The management makes a big deal out of saying you are important and that there is a decent work-life balance and family is important. It's all lies. 

First, their bonus structure was a sham and could not be achieved (they say work X number of billable hours to gain bonus, but you can't work more than X-1 hours or you get yelled at). 

Second, they throw you under the bus every day. 

Third, their team meetings are a ridiculously vapid spouting of corporate platitudes and meaningless buzz phrases meant to inspire you to ignore the fact that you are being thrown under the bus and they don't support you in any way.
