I can't speak for other departments, but mine was unbearable. If I was to summarize my major complaints, it would be a lack of clear communication throughout the departments we worked with, lack of clearly defined goals and targets (although they were making attempts at trying to resolve this), lack of a workflow within our department, lots of time wasted in pointless meetings, poor wages, being continually lied to, disconnect between employee and management, tools provided by the company such as computers not working properly, no training, and sadly so much more. Hands down the most unprofessional and stressful work environment I've ever been at. Save your sanity and do your research. You will find their turnover rates high and there is always a reason for that. It is truly unfortunate because this company has potential, but suffers from too many hands in the pot and everyone wanting their own way. I don't have time for a place like this and grateful I no longer work here. Worked so hard for the years I was here and recieved a laughable raise. My raise was higher working fast food more than 30 years ago than it was here. This is how they show their appreciation for senior employees.

interview process was quick. 

They were quick to hire me and I was quick enough to quit.
Pay was too low, even with post-secondary education. Management for this company was very unprofessional and scolds you if you make a mistake as a new hire. Training was not properly  executed and was expected to be on everyone's level very quickly and lacked patience. Showed lack of encouragement and was told by management to speed it up constantly. Did they want me to be fast and mess up my work? or be as quick as I can and produce quality work. I advise management to practice ethics.

The hardest part of the job was trying to balance your time and do 8 things at once with getting in trouble by management. Very repetitive work and felt like a robot working there.

Easiest part of the job was leaving work.

The most unprofessional company I've ever worked for and would advise others to find another job. 

Not worth the wage and job duties that go along with it.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people I worked with mostly. 
Next would be the beautiful areas as I worked remotely. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Technically not working proper and continually having to request where i was going the next day. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Because of some of the good people I worked with it was a decent environment. 
Unfortunately, with the merger and part buyout, there became to be too many upper staff that were looking or fighting for a purpose. They were not Caring about the workers in the field and the customers!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Reviving my work location. Drive to location, implement direction and do job for 10 hours each day. Working alone.

I've been with Farmers Edge for the past year and it's the best decision I've made. This is fast moving company and you have to be ready to think fast on your feet and be adaptable to the changes that come. Those that do rise to the challenge will succeed and those that don't won't. This is not a company where you can sit by and watch, you have to either get on board and do your part or start looking for something else.

Management is always asking for new ideas even from the bottom level person. Several ideas that my team has come up with are no being used company wide (and we're all freshly new hires). They value everyone's opinion and that's what keeps the company strong. 

This place has horrible insincere management with the policy of making fear on employees arrogantly. 
No employee is valued and is viewed as just another cog in the tractor to bring in more money for the greedy eyes which see only money not ability and humanity.
Pressure, stress and fear is transferred from upper managers to middle managers and finally to the employees as a sick loop chain. 
If you want to work in a friendly atmosphere with humble management system and enjoy your life with your work condition, I do not suggest to select this company.

The job was okay. Management was scattered and if you didn't chase down support and answers you would've had a terrible time.  Self-drive in this role was mandatory. The customers were wonderful, but constantly having to communicate upper-management changes (cuts) was stressful. There was minimal reassurance on job security. There was no opportunity to develop on the team, nor was there any budget or encouragement. The company is struggling and the rebranding is apparent. 

Working on the FarmCommand UI Web team

Pros:
- Great team. Very helpful group and fun to work with.
- Great Management. The UI Manager always has your back, and is a pleasure to work with.
- Uses Latest Technology. You'll always be up to date with the latest and greatest technologies in the web dev world.
- In office - Table Tennis, Foosball, snacks, unlimited coffee.

Cons: 
- Lowish Salary. The salary is lower than other places in Canada. But Lethbridge isn't a very expensive place to live.
- Office location. It's in the middle of the industrial area, so you need to drive to get anywhere.

Terrible management. Will pay decent to get you in the door. And show you the door before they have to pay you the bonus you earned. If you are a good worker you won’t last long, as they won’t be able to pay you what they promised. I feel terrible for every employee of FE- as they never have job security. I loved my team but they were also not valued. They also promised me time off when hired so I would take the job, and never allowed me to actually take it. They say they will pay you if you recruit an employee but you will never actually see this money. So don’t do anyone the disservice of recruiting them.  

Farmers Edge doesn't know where to start with all their issues. Management has no plan for today or tomorrow never mind a year from now. Day to day work is a rudderless ship directed by the worst decision makers you can imagine. Constant frustration followed by deadlines that are never met. I would stay as far as possible if I were looking to work or invest in Ag. Farmers Edge is by far that worst ran company I've ever worked for in the years I spent there. Looking to waste your time? Work at Farmers Edge. Gave 1 out of 5 stars but they deserve 0..

My experience in this company has not been that good.  First, the pay is below industry average and there is a very high turnover of employees. Very frustrating since all the smart and hard working employees either don't stick around or are forced to leave by bad decision making from upper management.  If you are looking for job security I strongly suggest you look elsewhere! It is a shame because there were a lot of smart people that worked here and I really enjoyed working with them.  The work-life balance was also good.
