Seemed ok at first. If they like you, they tell you how you can move up. Once you do move up and a supervisor doesn't like the idea of losing you on the line, they'll hold you back from being able to do what you pushed for. They do pay good considering its an insanely boring job. Alot of highschool drama though. Everyone has an issue with everyone. Take everything people say with a grain of salt. Unfortunately they're are some not so good guys there. The way the males from upper management/lead techs talk to you is very diminishing. Had a lead electrician Frisbee toss a clipboard in a fuss, and it hit me. Reported to my supervisors, they said they reprimanded them but I didn't see anything actually take place. Honestly, great hold over job but not worth it in the long run if you can find something better. 

Team work is essential, more production were produce/built when there's a unity in the group. I learned that perseverance do pays-off so never give up on working hard no matter how tough the job can be, because someone out there within the company recognize it and acknowledge it and you'll get rewarded when you least to expect it. The hardest part of the job is when it is your first exposure on the line assembly, but just do your best and you'll be fine. Just be willing and commit yourself to learn new things. If you're in doubt, don't be afraid to asks for assistance. The most enjoyable part of the job is when you get appreciated from the general manager once the required production for the day were met and because you are a "hard worker" and have a good work ethics.

Management are open to creative thinking, allowing some time for testing and implementation of ideas.  Co-workers are very passionate about their work.

my most enjoyable part is the openness i have 'especially' with my boss when discussing solutions and ideas for improvements to our operations.  my hard work is recognized by my co-workers and management.

I would highly suggest anyone working for this company to look for alternative better options. You would be be a slave and treated like one every hour/day/week. If you have any self respect do not work for this company ever. The most disgusting company I have ever worked for.  Although the company claims that, they are equal opportunity employer, however you will be treated differently based on your skin color, race and religion. It all depends who do you know in the upper management and get treated accordingly, it really doesn’t matter how you perform at your job.

Pros: Salary and Benefits

Cons: Upper management will ultimately dismiss any good ideas you have because they are not their own.  If you're good at what you do get comfortable because they will tell you they will move you were you want to go but at the end of the day their promises go right out the window.

As far as projects go you will have several manager to report to which will all give you projects that are "Priority" and if any fall behind you will be reprimanded.

If you like being stressed out at work I highly recommend working here.

Everything looks great at first but slowly deteriorates as they show their true colors.

It's an alright place to work. I wouldn't suggest it over other places if you're working as a general labourer in production, but if you have a degree as a weld tech. or are qualified for a higher paying job in the plant, by all means. The starting pay for a general labourer is $15 an hour. For the first 3 months until you're hired on that's what you make. Once you're hired on you continue to make $15 an hour for 6 months, when your pay goes up to $16. After that your pay goes up by either 25 cents, 50 cents, or 75 cents until you max out at around $23 or $24. 

There needs to be a new contract made that betters the lives of people just starting out. They're having a hard time keeping people working there.

Flex N Gate was an absolute terrible experience in the work community for factories it was very dirty unorganized too many superiors at a not enough associates the cleanliness of the factory was astronomically out of control and the attitudes from your superiors such as your manager and supervisors was very shameful for them to be directing people with the attitudes they had drugs alcohol and other matters are frequent and this company as well with people passing out and overdosing on the floor I will never recommend this place and will always speak unkindly about it as it was a very bad experience for myself

In over two decades in the Canadian workforce, I have never seen a job this disorganized. Management prioritizes quantity over quality, leading to constant errors and re-work. Every single day, you are switched between 5 different jobs, which is physically exhausting to the point of injury.Even long-term, full-time staff openly talk about how much they dislike the job and feel stuck. You are treated like an interchangeable tool rather than a human being. The pay is low and the environment is unsafe. Do not be misled—this workplace does not value its people or the quality of its product."

If you want to work in a very dangerous place were machines get very little maintenance .The unqualified HR department are a joke, they have no clue on how to do their job,and are liars and will fabricate to fit their agenda. Management have no people skills and have no respect for employees, they will close a blind eye on smoking in the plant .The pay is way less to comparable plants doing the same work,  owner would rather keep his money for football teams ,soccer teams and luxury yachts then paying his people a decent wage with benefits.

It is a physically demanding job, but accommodations are sometimes made depending on the need. I've learned the political aspect of working within a unionised company. Management is fairly good. The culture of the workplace is varied depending on the day and jobs. The hardest part of the job is working shift work as well as being vertically challenged, some jobs are straining to my body but yet I'm still expected to do the job at a reasonable pace of an average height and sized person. The most enjoyable part of the job is some of the people you meet as well as the pay.
