Gales gas bar is an ok company to work for as a general aspect. 
 The managers are expected to be on call 24/7,  not really any room for advancement. Empty promises of "if you start out as a clerk you can move up, "never end up happening.  Employees come and go as quickly as guests through a turn style at a carnival.  Pay is started out as minimum wage for a clerk and you are only ever given one raise of $.50 per hour unless you become a manager or a road boss. The higher up positions in the head office are constantly filled with friends and family working for the company.  Employees paycheques are garnished for shortages  that were recorded on their shift, whether it was their fault or not.  Too many upgrades are required at most locations and the company is not willing to spend to upgrade the problems until they get in trouble. Example the great big gas leak at the St. Paul location.

The job in all is under your capability of maintaining speedy service. Customer service is a must. I can admit 1 negative that makes you want to not work here.. they need a better smoke system. A digital counter. Because no matter how you do these sales. you some how become short. Which is ridiculous. And so stressful. Lots of hours. You start casual p/t and get 2 days a week. Unless you get called in. Which is almost every day.. imagine working 14 days in a row.. this is a thing hdre

Pump gas, Sell and stock cigarettes, sell oil, customer service, call in cigarette numbers and gas tank levels.

I learned how to be self motivated and how to deal with customers.

Nothing about the job was hard, and basically best part was I was there alone, smoke breaks, bathroom breaks when needed

I enjoy my job here really good costumers and team just need more hours due to payments but I love the environment here and enjoy the peaceful nights here

shifts were last minute, no interview, i was a teenager making tobbaco sales, and was ripped off at least $70 every pay check.

They we're very kind and nice. Very big privilege working there. If I was not moving I would have truly stayed. I made a lot of life long friends. Very thankful.
