Everyone who worked at Gescan were there for one thing and thats to make money. Which is understandable but when it came to building relationships they snarky rude and not willing to work as a team. i ran into a few decent people who were able to put aside theyre egos to work together but when you got to the people who have been at the warehouse for long periods of time they would be little me and give 0 respect. it all came down from managment and are boss who would constantly allow this be littling to happen and would even join in at times. i was talked about behind my back by staff and managment and was never given the time of day to show my skills and be able to show what time of person i was. Im guessing its because i was much younger than most and had a more upbeat personality but i was never good enough for them. i cant blame everything on the people there were days i would not meet expectations and i would accept my wrong doings. It was just unfortunate that i would be bullied by people like my own boss who are supposed to help and bring you up instead shut you down and make you feel worthless.

Be prepared to do the work of two to three people. Every branch is under-staffed and stretched really thin. Having just one person sick or on holiday can set you back days. Because of department manager bonus structures, you are constantly bombarded by reports to clear for either inventory control, purchasing ,credit, finance, hr, etc. A good part of everyday was spent trying to deal with other managers work instead of helping customers. Really frustrating and caused lots of late nights 
and hours of unpaid work from home


This is one of the shadiest companies out there, should have heeded other reviews before accepting the position.
Watched other well qualified people get turned down for advancement while ‘buddies’ get hired instead. 
Watched Branch Manager hide in their office all day every single day and not lift a finger to help floor staff, had no clue on how to even enter a sales order! 
Another Branch Manager extremely racist, saw no issue in telling racist jokes and stories, using unacceptable and derogatory  racist language. Instead of firing him they fired the woman who complained to HR about it!

No complaints about the role or the company as a whole. But the branch manager made working there very stressful. Only pointed out problems without offering any support or explanation on how to improve. Was hands off on training but got mad when I wasn't trained on things he thought I should have been. Would tell you you did something wrong without showing you how we wants it done. Expects you to learn the entire industry immediately and gets annoyed when you ask for help.

Not a great culture. Manager picks his favourite employees who can do no wrong and everyone else is worthless. 

There is no work life balance, inapt management that is run by dictatorship. Management leaves early while you stay and work with no OT.
They will run you into the ground and sabotage your career if you complain.
They claim to have a “family like culture” but they fail to mention that the family is tremendously dysfunctional and abusive!
Keep your self-esteem and stand in line at the food bank rather than …

HR/Regional/Branch Management are complacent with senior employees abusing new employees and breaking company policies

Very fast paced environment 

Hard, back-breaking work

Low compensation for amount of duties 

High stress in entry-level roles

Coworkers form cliques and very hard to be a real part of the team. 



doing lots of receiving shipping picking orders.i learn that you have to work under pressure and on a dead line.management very good to work fore .my co workers were very good to work with.trying to get everything in place so we can work easier.going to work every day cause the pople r good to work fore.

Don’t  work for these guys EVER, they think it’s totally fine for the supervisor to harass staff to the point where they have to go on stress leave or quit. This company doesn’t care at all about it’s employees. He’s an Chilliwack has the worst manager in the world he’s a real piece  and doesn’t care who’s life he ruins... karma will get you

a great place if you are looking for job security and a place to settle in, but not the perfect environment if you are at the start of your career and looking to advance due to the small size of the company, unless you are looking to build a career in sales, then this is the place to start.

Clean open concept warehouse with high traffic.
A lot of electricians coming in and out. Minimal staff on site.
Very friendly people to work with.
Many routes to and from this office.
