Over the past 20+ years I have worked in a corporate environment where the "family feel" did not exist (even in an office of less than 10 people), you were just a number.  Being employed with Gibson Building Supplies, not only do I feel like I am part of a family, the support you get from all departments is fantastic!  The interaction and compassion from upper management is always evident, they genuinely care about their employees. A great company to work for & looking forward to a bright future!

Company owners actually care for their employees. Do your job in a safe efficient manner and you will never have an issue at Gibsons. Some long hours at times anything over 88 is o/t. Equipment is good never an issue getting trucks or cranes fixed. Excellant front office support, company phone and all PPE with exception to workboots is supplied by company including inclement weather wear. I've worked alot of differant places in my career and never been treated this well. 
 



Enjoyed working there the manager at the orillia yard is a greasy no good for nothing 
Spends most of his day on tictok and Facebook 
And is a complete failure in his roll as manager 
The rest of  team there keep the yard looking good in upper management's eye ....in my opinion the company is good the management is no good and the HR team isn't there for the employees 

I enjoyed working with my co-workers, and learning about the roofing industry products. The hardest part of my job would be delivery the roofing materials to the job sites in a time efficient manner, while paying attention to safety. The most enjoyable part of my job would be operating the crane and driving the truck.

Anyone who complains about this company is very opinionated. I have worked for many places over my career, this is the place I will retire. Great group of people.

There is always work. Depending on what branch you work out of,  will depend on your happiness. Not the family environment they sell you on. Management is out for themselves, end of day your just a number.  

Warehouse manager is not very competent. Fleet manager plays favourites. Employees on floor are good to work. Very physical job. Moving shingles all day

No compatent help for drivers. Management won't bother backing up good drivers. To much politics and jealousy. They don't realize good help when they see it.

Company has no respect for their employees or the safety of them. They make you work tons of overtime and dont pay you extra for it.
The will lay you off with no notice.
