Glacier Maintenance

I worked for glacier for about 2 years and i moved so thats why i left. The shift was evenings and was a great place to clean as i had a portable speaker on my janitors cart to losten to podcasts while i worked. The managers were great as any time i needed help i could call or text them and i worked evening shifts and they would get back to me even at 9pm which is unheard of for most places i worked for.  If i needed to leave early for being sick or when my kid graduated from school they were very understanding and let me have the time off without any hassles.  One time my manager knew i wasnt feeling well as i had just come back from being off with the flu for about a week and he came in and spent my shift working alongside me just to make sure i didnt overwork myself on my first day back from being sick.   I was impressed by the companys compassion and understanding for things and if my husbands job didnt require him to relocate than i would still be working for glacier.   Highly recommended

Great company culture.
The work load is reasonable and  the management has been supportive and helpful.    A lot of co-workers have become friends to me over time and the supervisor has taught me a lot of skills. 
In general the workplace culture is fun and supportive.   I really value my job and am glad I found a stress free place to work where I'm not bullied or taken advantage of.
The customer where I work is also very kind to me and invites me to all the company events ,such as pizza day and family barbeques.

They respect the work you do and are very open to talking through different ideas. Great work / life balance.

Sometimes the jobs are physically taxing.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The other staff are great to get along with and so is the management. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I'll work from 5 pm at one company till 8 pm then drive a few miles to another company to work for a few hours.  Some evenings I only work 2 or 4 hrs.

They are always checking to see how I am doing and when I need something they have it there

Nothing stressful...this question is more stressful 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I have a small 3 hr shift of sweeping mopping and cleaning bathrooms and offices. 2 floors, 7 offices 4 bathrooms, customer service desk that have 4 work stations, 1 boardroom, and a huge hallway storage area, stairs and a kitchen.

If you have no questions, you are golden. They would not supplied me with disposable gloves to clean toilets. Was told to use yellow rubber dish gloves and wash them.  I went above and beyond for these people, but was fired for asking questions about how to properly dispose mops and cleaning wash rags. They expect you to cover your co-workers shift at the last minute. Supervision is all over the place. Different answers from different people. No COVID-19 precautions taken. Not worth it. 

A typical day is productive and detail-oriented. I learned valuable teamwork, safety, and time management skills. Management is supportive and respectful, and the workplace has a positive culture. The job can be physically demanding, but the friendly team and supportive environment make it enjoyable. Overall, it's a great place to work!!!

Staff and supervisor  bs. Not getting  credit for a job well done. Supervisors have their favorites and they get all the credit

Overworked and have to pick up the slack from day staff.

The work is pleasant and the job duties are enjoyable.   I like to stay active and this job keeps me active. I always get 15,000 steps per day at work.  As an added benefit I lost ten pounds.  

My co-workers and supervisors are respectful and kind.

I had no issues with this workplace

Low pay but was expected. No issue

Work environment was good except for building maintenance

Come in work clean up. Go home.
