I had the unfortunate experience of working for this company and I have to say, it was one of the worst decisions of my life. I was promised growth and promotions, but all I got was empty promises and being overworked until I had nothing left to give.

From day one, I felt like just another cog in the machine. My hard work and dedication was not acknowledged or appreciated by management. They would constantly pile on more and more tasks, with no regard for my well-being or work-life balance.

I had hoped for a supportive and positive work environment, but instead, I was met with a toxic and hostile management team. They pretended to be nice, but as soon as I made one mistake, they turned on me and made me feel worthless.

It's disheartening to see a company that values its employees so little. They don't offer any form of recognition or appreciation, not even a simple thank you for all the hard work. It's as if the management expects their employees to work like robots, with no emotions or needs.

I have seen many talented and hardworking individuals leave this company, feeling drained and undervalued. It's a shame because with proper management and appreciation, this company could have been a great place to work.

For anyone considering applying to this company, I urge you to reconsider. Don't be fooled by their promises of growth and promotions. It's all just smoke and mirrors to keep you working for them until you eventually give up.

In conclusion, if you want a job where you feel valued and appreciated, do not work here. This company will drain you of all your energy and offer nothing in return. The management is the worst I have ever encountered, and I would not wish this experience on anyone. Beware and do not apply here.

Expect early hours long days and laborious work typical to working in a greenhouse setting. Okay place to work if you can handle working in harsh temperatures (Greenhouses frequently 40-50 degrees+ and 50%+ humidity) for hours daily (Should note, management was great about telling you to take breaks out of spaces, water provided & always accessible, training on heat stress/stroke, etc... but still, conditions can get pretty brutal.) 

Be prepared for heavy lifting, tons of cleaning and sanitation, very very detailed documentation & record keeping, etc. There are many procedures to follow working with cannabis, that often feel excessive but are necessary to maintaining their certifications and following regulations.

Staff and management very focused on training, sanitation, and safety. Depending on your role expect to work in PPE consistently. In my experience - they also help you to get certifications if necessary to your position which was appreciated.

The staff & management were friendly overall. Found it to be a very casual workplace which is fun to be a part of as there was lots of jokes, music, fun conversations. 

If you are interested in working in the cannabis industry, good place to start with knowledgable staff - learned tons in my short time there - but be prepared for the intensity. 

Since my time at Glasshouse, I was welcomed in to the team and made friends easily. From day 1, management and workers took the time to learn your name and ask you how you were. The assistant /team leads I worked with were extremely genuine, hard working, enthusiastic and trusting. If you had a question, they’d provide you help and support without a second thought. 

This job gives you a purpose. Every day I would be eager to get to work, to learn new ways that I can improve individually and provide suggestions on how the company can advance. If you put in your best work and contribute your thoughts and intelligence it will be recognized and by the end of your work day you will feel accomplished. 

Upper management is reasonable, and if you communicate your concerns,  it will be addressed with time. Glasshouse not only strives to learn from their mistakes, but they are constantly seeking methods to improve the team and their operations in order to ensure the health of the plants is adequate and consistent. 

Overall Glasshouse offers a unique, positive job experience that is constantly changing. If you are adaptable, thrive off of change, and want to feel accomplished then this job is for you!

When I started working here it was ok. Your typical labor job. But as time went on and management changed and promotions started happening it all changed. It became overly stressful for the position you were in even as a cultivation team member . Team leads were walking and egg shells afraid to speak to their direct supervisor in fear of repercussions, afraid to ask for assistance. The moral of the leads changed they became withdrawn because of how their supervisors and mangers treated them. 
The amount of team leads that glasshouse goes through is insane. They they have been operation for 3 years and have gone through far least 8 leads and at least 50 cultivation members. There’s are way too many management rolls for the size of the company. None of the management can be trusted they will say good things to your face then go to their manager and talk negatively behind your back resulting in termination.  The mangers don’t see a high employee turn over rate. The reviews that your given are supposed to be constructive criticism however they tear you to shreds and make you feel like you cannot do anything right even if you do everything you can that is within your power. Do not apply you will have anxiety and mental health issues if you do as this place is a every toxic environment. The absolutely worst place I have worked. 

When I first joined Glasshouse Botanics, I was introduced to their Good Manufacturing Practice goals. While this is an admirable aim, I noticed a disparity between these goals and the actual operation decisions being made. I found that those who challenged these decisions were often overlooked and that positive outcomes were only celebrated when they resulted from lucky deviations.

Initially, I was overwhelmed by the extensive procedural system but after a month in the job, I noticed significant lapses in following these procedures. I instead had to learn how to adapt better to change. I felt that there was a lack of respect from higher-ups and a false sense of hope regarding opportunities within the company.

It is worth noting that Glasshouse Botanics has yet to establish a competitive advantage in any market. Furthermore, I believe that the Quality Control department can often prioritize redundantly cleaning tasks over resolving issues that affect the quality of the product. 

Overall, I would not recommend Glasshouse Botanics for those seeking a long-term career within the cannabis industry or a simple, short-term opportunity for decent pay.

This place is truly awful and should be your last option. I'd pick Tim Hortons before working for glasshouse again. The turnover rate is very high for a reason. A place that's always hiring is also always losing people. Having just a high school diploma and making above minimum wage, this sounds like a great job. Almost too good to be true. They immediately start talking about how they're all a family but I wouldn't treat my worst enermy like they treat people, let alone my "family".. they'll pump free coffee and snacks down your throat to make it appear it better than most jobs. It's not worth it. It was a fun job but the management is atrocious and it continues to be their main issue. I'm not sure who got paid off to give then a GMP certification. Theirs foreign matter constantly leaking into the building being caught by 5 gallon buckets. All 4 strains are infested with bugs that they can't get under control. Everything about this place is a red flag. Just avoid it like the plague. If you ask around about this company nobody has anything good to say.

I was a Mother Room team member which involved caring for and propagating generations of cannabis clone plants. We'd perform other duties in the downtime between clone care, mostly cleaning to ensure the plants avoid contracting infectious pests and diseases. I learned much about botany and cannabis plant structure in general, nutrient preparation and application,  HC-compliant sanitization procedures and practices, as well as the greenhouse to product process. The culture was great, with regular events and contests. The heat and occasionally physical work were the most challenging aspects, but there was easy access to water and colder air if needed. Learning about cannabis and the people were the most enjoyable parts of the job, they have great senses of humour and work ethic! 

I had the best and worst experience while working at Glasshouse. I was always told I was a great/hard worker. I was also told they'd love to see me in a leadership position if I could only leave my emotions out of it. I was told to be monotone and not to speak my mind. Even after being called names from coworkers, I was told it was beneficial for everyone if I were to be terminated instead of those who caused me stress in the first place. I took my job seriously, I begged for my job just to be let go at the end of the day anyways.

All I can say is if you're going to work here, be prepared for favoritism. If you don't fit in, there is someone there who will make sure you don't make it. You could be employee of the month one month and then fired the next, it's not a secure job. Constantly feeling like you're walking on eggshells. I wish the best of luck to whoever applies. 

There's a reason there's such a high turn over rate there. 

Aside from the high rate of pay for the area, I have nothing good to say about the business. Employee injuries abound. Poor upper management, who only reward those who say yes and only yes, in turn leading to poor middle management. If you have the capability to only say yes, keep your head down, and compromise on your ideas and values, work here. Ideas often come down from the top, people who admittedly have no prior experience in growing plants, biology, or cannabis. You will always be seen as the bad guy here if you do not nod along with absolutely everything you are told, no matter how many of this companies OWN policies and LAWS you may be breaking. It is also family owned and operated so good luck if you ever have an issue with someone in their familial bubble. The cannabis produced at this plant is also horrid. Mold, bugs, and contamination issues are everywhere.

The days can fly by working here. This is a fast pace and ever changing working environment.  Day to day activities could include plant maintenance, cultivation of plants and sanitation as well as documentation all along the way. Good for people who like to learn about cultivation as they train you on everything you need to know to do the job. The supervisors and teams in general are very helpful if there is anything you are uncertain of during your work day everyone is happy to answer questions. You definitely get as much out of working here as you put in as hard work is recognized. It’s very satisfying to work as a team like you do at Glasshouse and having a good team leads to lots of laughs and good times.
