Now I know the area is bad for wages but the pay is terrible..

Benefits is 80% of drug coverage up to a max of $3000 and if you need to see a doctor you will be pushed to wait..

Dispatch often goes home at 3 pm and dispatches from home and thinks this is the same as the driving living in the truck 7 days a week..

I was taking a day and a half out west at  near 60 hours to reset and then home they would give me again a days and a half at home and get argumentative when I needed a day more off at home.

The pay was a lot lower before I came on because I asked for greater wages and was going to quit so we got a slight increase even though “they think the people ages were sufficient “..

After poor medical coverage and being run into the ground with above hours I have been having trouble getting my health back under control so I can get my license back.

You are not a human here nor a valued employee just an expendable item to discard

They prefer to build big offices and dock spaces and save on wages.

Finally they offer you a retirement package as part of pay BUT don’t tell you you have to remain employed for 2 years or so or you won’t receive it

This is the same with their matching retirement fund 

Terrible company to work for where they treat most drivers horribly

If long haul driver you will have one of the slowest trucks with the poorest engines for pulling while local and local highway drivers have trucks that can pull well and exceed legal speed limits as they are not governed to Canadian legal speeds

You will be expected to lay over less than a day from home to reset you hour then complains when you are home because you need sometime at home after being out for 2 weeks.

Truck was new and clean but the 680  bunks are very cramped for living out of yet they want you in them for a month at a time

Health coverage is bad to pathetic as coverage was up to a cost and it wouldn’t cover a year of prescriptions nor did the insurance company help at all with getting medical info covered expecting employees to run to doctors office every time the insurance company had a question.

Pay was 10c less a mile than most other places for the same work yet management were bound they paid the best

Here at Grace they provided me with the opportunity to get my AZ class license with their own class and training with certified drivers. I worked in  the flat bed division where I was always busy. I had great dispatchers and an overall good experience. I couldn't be more thankfull to them for allowing me to get my feet wet in the trucking industry. I would definitely recommend working for them.

Most weeks I was gone Monday to Friday and with the odd week starting on a Sunday afternoon depending on the load assigned.  

My dispatcher was very accommodating when I had some personal issues to deal with and keeping me closer to home. I also had no issues when I went off on a parental leave  dispatcher and management  accommodated  everything and understand of the situation.

Couldn't say better things for this company.




What is the best part of working at the company?
This company is by far…the best place I’ve ever worked. The staff are amazing, the equipment is top shelf and the pay is also top level in the industry…if I have my way I’ll never leave here

The only stressful thing is traffic, but that comes with the territory…

The work environment is relaxed, the culture is to be the best we can be

Busy, but a good busy….you are never sitting and waiting

Working for Grace for 3 years and can't see myself working anywhere else . Staff and employees are all great people and not a jerk onsite . Owners treat you with the upmost respect and having worked at other companies for over 35 years in my lifetime , they have been the best . When people talk about a family atmosphere at a company they are talking about this place . 

I worked there in 2009 Bob grace is old school ,If you work hard he appreciates it .Good management and dispatch. Benefits where at my time 1000 cash he will pay you pay rest.pay was based on miles/hrs so if you have 500 mile job averaged 60 miles an hr you get paid 8.5 hrs for that job, was 19 hr for dump trailer.plus paid birder border crossing and unload load time. I had 20 22  loads a week .was paid about 700 to 800 week

I can honestly say that I never had a bad experience with anyone at Grace Transport in all my years of driving truck I’ve never came across that. 
It’s a family run business but still big enough to move around if you want to I didn’t have any heavy haul experience but they took the time to teach me and all the drivers were very helpful and took their time teaching me, 
Good place to work,equipment is descent overall a very friendly place to work.

I worked in the office for a number of years and have no complaints (I left due to moving).  The Grace family is a pleasure to deal with if you are a person who does your job and has a positive attitude.  If you have a negative attitude or don't intend to do your job, this is not the place for you.  A large percentage of the drivers and most of the administrative staff have been there for many years, which speaks for itself.

I would recommend working here!

Went through their training program and got my az license. It’s a great company the training was phenomenal. Excellent equipment. They take of everything you need repairs or supplies. So extremely happy to be employed by them.
