I won’t mention any names but there was definitely a lot of nepotism going on. Family ran business with the family and there friends receiving heavy favouritism. Some of which were really hard workers and deserved there positions at the company, however some of the family members did not deserve any of there privilege at Hudson Bay electric . 

Compensation is not fair and they will take advantage of you if you don’t demand the salary your worth. Be ware of that. 

Overall the management and owner was always very nice to me. Great guy id say but you definitely have to work hard. 

If you work here, work hard and ride the busy wave. When it slows down you will always be on the fringes as you are not family. Good luck! 

The hours were really hit and miss (as is typical for residential construction). The work was very fast paced. Resi is tough because you're expected to do everything really fast but also not make any mistakes. Boss can be a bit all over the place and scatter brained. Certain times/jobs were really chaotic. Decent place to work if you like working residential construction. Not much room to move up in the company when I worked there. 

Management is un-organized. work quality is pretty much non-existent. only care about money and speed, no one takes pride in their work and they cut corners whenever possible. worksite environment is toxic and there is no chain of command.

Great staff, very knowledgeable, neat and precise with work. Work every part of residential as well as some commercial aspects of the trade. great place to learn more and get more hands on experience.
