been working for a little more than 5 yrs the level of poor management and communications across all echelon of the company from foreman sending email back and forth and having over 5 difffent hr personel who quit and have to deal with the amount of stress if you are operating a heavy load equipment is really not worth it, I'm on hormone therapy and have difficulty to sleep and wake up and they don't care about health issues and the level of stress they put on their work force, as long as don't slow the production or arrive 5 min late at work even tho the production is stopped you'll be in trouble and maybe get a suspension 

Factory offers you a quite large variety of possible job opportunities. It is unionized and your job is secure however there are lay offs during dead season(winter) for starting employees. It gets quite hot in the summer so those sensitive to heat should probably not apply here. 
The positives of this place is that most people are quite friendly and will try to help/teach you the ways things are done there. 
The big negative is that the management talks a lot but does very little. There are huge delays between things being done.

They pay no matter you have trade licence or not, so if you are newcomer its good start

Being a packaging associate at Hydro extrusion is a very dynamic and collaborative job. Communication between employees is crucial as the dynamic and loud atmosphere can sometimes become complicated.
I learned that safety is the most important aspect of a dynamic atmosphere at work and that you can never be too cautious or careful.

Horrible environment to work! Chemicals exposed! Aluminum pieces over your head in a very, very dangerous way to manipulate it! 
Co-workers very unmotivated and most of then with psychological problems.
Supervisors are awful and upper management even worst!!
They don't care about your safety, they just want to make money and that's it!!

As a student summer job at Hydro, you get to work in various teams in a collaborative environment, with more experienced workers. It is fast paced at first, but you eventually get used to it and look like you've been part of the team for years ! The only inconvenient might be the schedule, as it is not flexible.

In my 5 years of experience there if was not fun at all, lot of bad jokes from men very not welcoming to gay people and even less trans. Very hard for the mental health my advice just don't work there unless you're a "macho man".

Job Culture is not productive


Narcissistic leadership team.  Culture where favoritism is rampant. Old boys and girls club. Apart from management colleagues were good to work with.
