Applies current knowledge regarding resident’s needs, nursing care, assessments, wound care and medication 
Monitor and provide guidance to the health care aids and problem solve independently/ including the charge RN
Confidence in medication knowledge and administration, transcribing physician orders, administration of PRN medication and identify when an order needs to be adjusted
Communicates effectively through the team leader and respectfully to family, residents and staff members of the health care team
Documents all aspects of resident care in a thorough and timely manner using Point Click Care and modify resident’s care plan to reach the expected goal

Working here has been both rewarding and challenging. The nature of the job itself is meaningful—you really do feel like you’re making a difference in people’s lives, and that part makes the effort worthwhile. That said, the work can be physically demanding at times, which is expected in this field but still worth mentioning for anyone considering it.
Unfortunately, management is not very supportive. Concerns from staff often go unheard or are brushed aside, which creates frustration and lowers morale. On top of that, there tends to be unnecessary drama from some of the full-time staff, which can make the environment more stressful than it needs to be.


This place has nice residents, nice unit layouts and some staff are great. But it is always short-staffed, always. Pay sucks and you can get more elsewhere. But lots of hours for casual if you want them. They have shared equipment amongst units. Couldn't locate working oximeter. Free parking is good and you're on a bus route if you don't drive.

Working at Idlewyld Manor allowed me to learn how to interact with the elderly, and serving them dinner. I learned the importance of the difference between the different diets that were required for them. The hardest part of the job is the beginning, leaning the different diets and knowing who has which dietary needs.

I loved my job and all the staff residenrs and Family there. I hated to leave and would still be there if I  did not move so far away for my Husbands work. Great culture there and very forward thinking.

i'm not sure what to write here as you are basically forcing people to write a review they do not wish to write about.

Short staffed.  Some unrealistic time lines on short shifts.  Pays not bad but for the work it could be.better.            mmm
  Left pretty stressed on a few days.

Don't know how to elaborate too much coz i only work with them in a short time. All I can say is the management is brutal. Will definitely not recommend this company to other people.

Worked in a cliche environment with people not willing to adapt to changes. Thrive Group came in made changes and staff fought against the changes. Shift were not given equally and if on-call expect friends to call friends before the call in sheet.

the staff there were amazing. so caring towards one another and person centred care. my first ever placement and they made it amazing and helped me know for sure this is the path I want to take.
