What is the best part of working at the company?
I met some of the best people I have ever worked with, many of them are still good friends

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I was working in licensing and most of the stress was from the parents of the spoiled kids who have never been told “NO” too. It’s amazing how many perfect kids are out there. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Most of the people I was fortunate to work with were great, very supportive and helpful. Sure I had some bad managers and supervisors but I also had some good ones. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I have a pretty good attitude so I enjoyed everyday and made sure other people can rely on me.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working in ICBC brings out the best in me. I am valued and respected. I belong here.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressfull part is the training. I am inexperience with this type of job but the trainors and the management went far to make us feel it is all okay. And part of the training is to accept our weaknesses and learn from it.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Family oriented. Respect and diversity is there. It feels like home for me.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy as always. But I am fine with that.

The ability to work part-time, and the interaction with the public.

Poor punitive style management.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment and culture are very cliquey and do not welcome new staff.


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Internal and external pressure to perform at optimum speed and efficiency with poor training, coaching, encouragement, and support.

Job interview process is very subjective. One interviewer may like your answer and another may fail you on the same answer.

As the saying goes working for Icbc.. what the work environment is like depends where the pendulum is at the time.
Years ago it was a good company to work for; now you’re just a number 

Call center work is stressful especially when it’s one call after the other and you don’t know what to expect with the next call. Great peer support. There is always a new manager and supervisor every 4 months. Benefits are great. There is always room for advancement as there a lot of internal openings. But it is also a challenge to apply to other positions as there are a lot of internal candidates that apply to the position. So good luck getting another job within the company.

It’s the best training I’ve ever gotten in terms of info and support from the trainers. Management is superb, they actually want you to take time off, you get an email if you don’t use your vacation days lol! Pay is pretty good! I need a hobby now as I haven’t had this much free time before 😂

Offers fortnight hybrid system for my position,
Very great for work life balance
Manager is accommodating being flexible with time as long as communicated.
High stress, high caseload. Half of my team are already on stress leave after working for the company for 3 months.
Needs to have high level of efficiency and fast, steep learning curve at the beginning

Good people to work with, everyday is a new challenge especially because of the public perception of it. 

The company itself has a lot of double standards. On heavy snow days they tell the public to stay home and don't rush, but they tell their employees if they are late even 5 min there will be consequences.

I realy like working for ICBC. It's an amazing company with a friendly environment. It's also a good Company to grow and built a carrer. Great company to work in British Columbia.

The money and job stability is fantastic, but the work/life balance isn't the greatest. Caseloads are very high and stressful, and there it can be difficult to feel like there's much accomplished.
