The boss fired a guy the day before his father passed away without any reason other than "you're not a good fit." What kind of excuse is that!? The employee couldn't afford to sue but was well within his rights as it was an unlawful termination. 

They have no respect for employees and have no systems in place for education/training. It's just here you go and hope for the best. Zero communication between Long Sault office and head office. 

This place is a joke!

I was a delivery driver where testosterone does tend to fly in the “manly” work atmosphere. There was no shortage of run ins with each other. This was perhaps due to the heavy pot use on the job by swampers, and likely the lower management. I had reported this numerous times, and nothing was done. I was not even drug tested as a driver. 
I heard on of the office staff literally threaten to assault another driver because he was not taking the verbal assault given to him by management, and this driver was one of the most solid guys there. 

They gave a terrible reference to my next employer who called them, even though I worked my two weeks notice off. 

Do not work here if you are desperate for trucking experience. There are better jobs out there.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The incentive is great but the overall experience very negitive 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Too many family members working that don’t like change and are always rude to people the attrition says it all

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Dirty and aggressive, very negative longtime employees. Do not know how to speak to associates and management fails to listen to ideas or listen to employees.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typical day is working anywhere from 48 hours overtime in a dirty environment

There is no typical day, everyday is different, it all depends on products received and when the boats need to be loaded, you can be very busy a few days and the next day it's cleaning and sweeping to keep busy
It was a wonderful experience to learn about Nunavut.  
Workplace culture:  very "click" like. 


 

Typical day is about 4-8 hours in the truck loading and unloading all types of Laminate and Tile into houses under construction. Management could care less about Warehouse staff, never included in much going on in the Design Studio. Hardest part of the job would be unloading the flooring as it weighs between 40 and 80lbs repetitively all day. Best part would be the Warehouse staff, fun to talk and work with.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Some of the people there are really good people. Others look down their noses at everyone. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The lack there of accountability held to those in charge. the level of managerial organization is abysmal

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture is extraordinarily toxic. Unless you’re in one of the cliques you were looked down upon regardless of your level of skill and knowledge

Nice workplace with less chance for growth in the I.T. Department
-Environment is very friendly and laid back. My co-workers were my biggest strength in my job, 
Hardest part of the job is to convince a user that,  his work would be done, when his ticket / incident is opened. I think, it is because, we as users are impatient and want our work to be done, 'right now'.

Well working for this company they demand you work late hours the company does play favourites with its employees so some please get the bad end of the stick they are very unorganized you spend more time waiting around the yard and standing there doing nothing than actually working my guess is swamperts not my job to look after the garden so doing jobs that we're not required as a swamper

Good working environment, friendly and equally treatment for everyone .good opportunity to advance for fair chance for repositioning trade. Eg you there was a chance join a difference position's

Friendly environment, however, this place hires people that do not have the ability to do the basics of the job and continue to keep them on, they also have to high of expectations for new people. Pay is decent and they offer lots of overtime and almost no experience is necessary for any job there.
