Aura dinner is a unique beast. Very limited preparation time, very little crossover period between services (which also have separate menus, mind you), and you must be able to take care of yourself.

Organization is key. If you can set yourself up for success, and be confident about it, you're going to have good services. You get to work with some incredibly talented chefs and cooks, and you get to cook some unique food for the island.

If you lack the confidence in your own ability to run your station or know your ingredients and know the menu, you're going to cause yourself undue stress. It's a cook job, don't expect it to be a cake walk. If you're skilled and collected, you will thrive in this environment.

The union (Local40) is quite strong, and the representatives have been very passionate about the workers, as is the hotel management.

Benefits are so/so, not industry leading but it's a good place to be taken care of if something goes wrong with your health.

Inn at Laurel Point is a respectful, inclusive place to work. I've always felt well taken care of, even with spontaneous schedule amendments, or other issues. Working hard and often is rewarded as well with excellent overtime pay.

Good Staff meals, fresh everyday. Good union, staff  change room , lockers, staff room with TV , phone and buffet.  
Medical, dental, life insurance coverage. Holiday time, RRSP. 
Great location, beautiful hotel and very clean.  Fantastic guests who keeps coming back.
The best place to work. Over all i would say 5 stars..

the personal hotel with an excellent atmosphere, everyone in the company is friendly, the HR department is outstanding, they almost know everyone's personality in the company and also helping people through their life. lots of stuff work in the hotel for more than 10 years. 

people had show lots of respect together, we are not only meet at work we have team building or celebration after work. the outstanding  relationship between making us more efficiency at work

When I worked as a room attendant at this hotel I was always happy to see my  co-workers working near me, so if I need a bit of help I could always ask them for a hand! Everyone I talked to at the hotel were super nice and willing to help me if I had a problem!
You always get a meal and breaks and I was paid fairly.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends!

People and culture are second to none. Family feel however high service standards. High emphasis on "TEAM". Colleagues are empowered and supported; guest focussed and always wanting to go above and beyond to impress their guests.

Great place to work: fun and easy-going management with guest and employee focus. My position is temporary, and the review would probably be higher if the position was permanent. I am proud to say that I was chosen to work there!

Great fit for someone who wants to go to work in the morning and forget about it when they go home. Scheduling is very reliable, however, work accommodations could be improved and there is a bit of disconnect between staff and management. Highly recommend for someone who wants a reliable paycheck and nothing more.

Cleaning rooms to high standards. Team work and fast paced environment. To be great at this job you have to be be quick and efficient and roll with the constant changes that happen on a daily basis.

great place you if like being treated like taken advantage of your work ethics, and being lied to for a pay raise , they have terrible occupancy rate, will hire you in summer and then fire you in the winter to keep their operating cost low

When I worked in the housekeeping department, the coworkers were super nice and helpful. Working in the room attendant position was tough; however, I enjoyed working in that position because of my lovely coworkers.
