Never having worked in Oil and Gas before, I was unsure if the team and culture would be a good fit.  After a few months it became very apparent the owner listens and tries to accommodate the employees wants and needs.  Spending countless hours working with each department.  I do not work in the field, so I get to see the inner workings of the business.  I was very impressed that managers are given the opportunity to air out any grievances and their feedback is taken seriously.  Oil and gas gets a bad rap, but this company is more invested in its employees then anywhere I have ever worked.  There is room to grow, competitive wages and employee appreciation that goes above and beyond. I highly recommend this organization for long term gainful employment. 

alright pay IF you work everyday of your shift which is rare nowadays. Salary is very low for this day and age. Set crews is nice. Promotions are non existent unless someone quits, alot of us have been stuck in the same position for 3+ years. Gain good mechanical skills compared to other frac companies because we work on and maintain our equipment all the time so the shop days are busy. No glove or boot allowance. No extra pay for hotshotting equipment somewhere or spotting sand hoggs. 

You have to live and breath iron horse it’s very cult like where if you want to fit in you have to wear their company apparel like hats and jackets everywhere you go even on days off the only way to advance in the company is to befriend a supervisor go camping with them on days off go drinking with them after work, laugh at all their jokes stuff like that, management will tell you the door is always open to talk but the door is always open to get talked down too get a target put  on your back/ watch your pay subs you will have some of your Job ticket bonus missing on your cheque

Some time frames on tasks to get completed but usually someone is willing to help out

Everyone is gd to get along with and willing to help out

It’s very busy and always something to do

What is the best part of working at the company?
Too many arrogant chiefs. Coil guys are glorified fracers.  They are good at fracing short toilets that. Know nothing else about cil yet have huge egos for the most part.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They own you for your light salary. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Its the medicine hat hockey boys club . If you didn't play there you will not fit in.

The management in the tech department is terrible. Nobody there wanted to be near the guys in charge.
No training. While the guys in charge played videogames in their computers, I was expected to "do something" and don't do anything I wasn't trained to do.
They have a terrible personnel turnover rate. That alone should tell you a lot.

Friendly's coworkers good supervisors

Tight schedule but effect planning for shift changes

Friendly, supportive and safety concerned coworkers 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy but lots of team work efforts

Fast paced at times, qhite physical as well. I would recommend being in good shape. The administrative staff is extremely helpful with anything you may need help with. Pretty good work environment. It seems so far that most ever gets along pretty well. Thenpay is fair and it seems like advancement is pretty regular from what most of the guys say.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No matter how experienced u are,, promotions are based on friendships, working over hours and getting no extra pay, lack of communication and poor coordination

This whole place is very clicky if you don't fit in they will run you off. Management is great, the pay is amazing. Whether you going to like or hate this place depends heavily on your crew. There are a few chill crews with great supervisors. I was in a very toxic crew, every work day was a pain
