On a typical day, dispatch instuctions are given, and I would adjust my days work activities to coincide with several variables including but not limited to, Hours of service, safely and effectively performing tasks required by me, management, co-workers, and customer interaction.It is an endeavour where circumstances are fluid, and one has to be flexible in approaching the various duties. I enjoyed the ability to be on my own, as well as having the interactions with my peers and the public.Probably the most difficult of times would be conducting the job in inclement conditions, and having to adjust to the environment of my job so that everybody I am around gets to go home safely at the end of their day.

Great people, great leadership and a solid financial backing. Unfortunately I joined this company at a time when non-union competition has made it impossible to compete. 

With this, the owner has announced closure of Jack Cooper LP2 which will occur over the next few months.

As a result I am actively seeking a new challenge. 

All the best to the remaining terminals working under Jack Cooper ownership.

Co-workers good to work with.
Boss was great and supervisors wonderful to work with.
Driver payroll and sometimes had to step into do dispatch.
Dispatch because i didn't do it alot so things would change but
I managed to get the job done to the best of my knowledge.
The best part was knowing that i was comfortable and we would have good times at work but the work always got done.

This is a union company. If you work harder than the other drivers they will bully and harass you trying to make you quit. When that doesn’t work they stash  alcohol bottles in your truck and report you to the police. Lucky I found it and got rid of it before they ruined my life. all because they’re intimidated by somebody working harder than them when they’re just lazy and only like to work six-seven hours a day

What is the best part of working at the company?
Forward and honest good workers and environment. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Short term employment. Would have enjoyed working with them longer. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I felt so comfortable working for them. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy. Drove new cars to locations.

Great job but company is managed very poorly at local level and upper level. Company is not spending any money on new equipment in Canada and the existing equipment is old and very worn out. If they lose any more contracts I wouldn’t be surprised if they shut down completely in western Canada

I advanced on a regular basis, learning new jobs. I enjoyed my work & working with my co-workers. The most difficult part of my job was driving 1,000 kilometers per week to get to and back from work. I live in Port Perry and the job was in Vaughan.

Poor rates. Lack of communication very little infrastructure. Management that is only there for there salary. To much work  load put upon management does not allow for enough time detailed where is needed. Lots of favouritism played out. Not acceptable at a union company. 

I worked on contract and now times are slow and I am not required in the office. Office manager is a great person to work for and I wish there was a opening for me to fill. Drivers were all great to work with.

good coworkers but bad management, cause company's head office is in USA far from here.
If you want to do this job you need to enjoy outdoor activity in all seasons.
