What started as a job that I felt that I was "born to do" (and shared that feeling with my supervisor and workmate), became something completely different. More and more new tasks were lumped upon myself and my workmate that were not initially part of our contract.

I managed to surpass the expectations of my superiors on countless occasions; introducing several procedural improvements and enhancements that provided greater efficiency and productive consistency.

In the end, it seemed that some of my efforts to provide a more efficient means of accomplishing the necessary tasks on a day-to-day basis were wasted. 

I will look back upon my time at Janssen with a smile, as I know I was well-liked, respected, and greatly appreciated. My release from the company was a legitimate change in business approach (outsourcing work to India), so I am confident that it was not due to job performance or attitude.

I would work 8-4.30, stay later if needed. In the morning, i was creating invoices for all the surgical instruments to send to hospitals the same day.  Then send the letters from the director of sales, process all new contracts and adjustments on their file in our system.
My supervisor was amazing and i have learned a lot from her. We were working with a nice group and it made the job fun.

I cant say there was a hard part about the job, maybe try to keep your personal informations to yourself.

We were 6 Liaisons on the floor and I was the only one crossed-trained on all their jobs, i learned how to interact between departments, I would create memos for the customer sales representatives.

I really loved my job,i was always looking to go to work in the morning.

Johnson & Johnson is a great place to work in regards to work-life balance and room to grow.  The only down fall is that it is an American company, and if your manager is located in the US then it may be a completely different experience.

For the first 2.5 years I worked there, my manager was located in Canada and my experience was wonderful.  However, for the last 6 months I worked there, our manager left and we were transferred to a manager in the US.  This is when things got really bad, as they do things completely different there then they do here, even though it is the same company.

I was treated very poorly, and they do not care about work-life balance or anything about you really.  It is strictly all about numbers and the work and nothing else.

The most incompetent and over-sized management team you can ever work with. The number of management and engineering are TRIPLE the number of production workers. They are granted big salary and big bonus for their incompetent performance. They are truely micromanaging but have no clue to make a decision and always  want to dump all responsibilities and faults to floor workers. This company wasted tons of money on useless managers and projects but when their business is going down (of course) they show no respect to floor workers include maintenance so the layoffs and benefit cuts always start from floor workers first even cut your safety shoes. Don't move your career DOWN there.

Work from Home Role. Great work/life flexibility. Great time management and data entry skills learnt. I gained amazing confidence from being offered such a great opportunity to advance in my working career. I was able to utilise past experience while learning new skills, and exploring parts of my own work ethic that i didn't have a chance to explore until that role. Supportive Team and Management. Great companies that worked along side us. 

Hardest part was the fact i was living in a different country by myself, so I was lonely on that part. 

The best part was that I gave it a go, tried something new and was pleasantly surprised with how well I handled everything.

The day to day is typical pharma.  They take the J&J credo values seriously, offering a good culture with work life balance.  They tend to move product/therapeutic class around the organization regularly, which is good for clinical education and keeps the job from getting stagnant.  the biggest challenge in all pharma roles is access to your key targets, the big advantage is very fair compensation for a moderate work schedule, at least compared to similar industries

Working at J&J is incredibly challenging but that is also what makes it  so rewarding.  The Consumer Healthcare Division has a broad portfolio of products and services which make for great variety in the advertising and other matters to handle which provides opportunities to grow and learn.  However, there is no real line of succession for a law clerk within this organization which is partly why I left.

The legal team in Canada for the consumer business is small and consists of General Counsel, Associate Counsel and two law clerks.

Professional atmosphere throughout the huge warehouse with many departments and throughout the office, what you'd expect from a huge company like this. Stable/consistent hours and pay (40 hours/week, sometimes asked if we could do optional overtime). Warehouse building has employee store, with discounted J&J and partner products. Relaxed/casual dress code. Lots of parking. On-site cafeteria. Had company events with free food. Hard to get pay raise or promotion, due to working in a team and there's lots of competition within.

Working here has been a truly rewarding experience. The environment strikes a great balance between productivity and enjoyment, making it easy to stay motivated and engaged. Team collaboration is highly encouraged, and there’s a strong sense of support from both colleagues and leadership.
