KDM Management

This review comes from a past employee that had a memorable time at KDM Management as a Condominium Manager. 
The challenge KDM Management faces, along with the entire Property Management industry, is the requirement for long hours and a very undercompensated industry. 
KDM Management has a lot of people on staff, and they do a great job organizing events, being part of the community and all its charity work through the Helping Hands Foundation. 
If I could offer a suggestion to the KDM Management team is that it would be to recognize and compensate staff for higher education and skill and eliminate the micro-management of Condominium Managers.

A typical day at KDM Management covered customer service, understanding and executing Condominium Property Act,  computer data entry on both word documents and excel spreadsheets, letter writing, taking & typing minutes, preparation of documents, some accounts receivable, filing both manually & electronic, answering emails within same day of receipt, answering  and responding to  telephone concerns, requesting contractor quotes,  visiting sites,  attending  board meetings, reporting to Property Manager and supervisor  and ensure the accuracy of reports, and  Property Manger relief and  responding to after hour service calls.

I have experienced very toxic work spaces in the past and this place is not one of them. The owners are both very calm and welcoming people who value their staff members. 

The company as a whole works hard on being very inclusive all all individuals and promotes a good team environment with staff activities. 

Great place to work at, its nice coming into work and having people you enjoy being around each day. 

Is a fast paced environment, with excellent training if you like to learn and grow. This is a good place to work if you want to expand your skill set and don't want to be bored. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Your coworkers are amazing here.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Our portfolios were massive.  Some people can handle 14-17 properties but I personally was unable to. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Fast paced, a lot of hours. We still had a good time at work and we were all under the same pressure.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Massive amounts of emails, many phone calls, getting meetings prepared… sometimes two per day. It was a lot

You started at 830 which meant u had better be in your desk by then.   You shared an office with at least one other person. 

The privacy was non existent there.

Way to fast paced.  Too much work left for the assistants to do.  
Expectations to high of having a body in the office at all times.

They took roll every morning rather than having a time clock.  Someone took count every morning.

They have a lot of rules that don't make sense...such as no flip flop type sandals.


What is the best part of working at the company?
Managers have their own admin assistant once at a portfolio of 8 properties

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything about this place is stressful, the work environment is disgusting. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Cut throat, two faced, no work home life balance, they expect total and absolute obedience and conformity

A great company to work for in general, organized and well informed,  Typical day included phone calls and arranging for contractors requested by the boards.,  
I learned that a balance in the social life of work and the focus requires a sensitivity that is acquired by participating daily with co-workers  
The most difficult part is coming in at8:30 am in the morning after attending evening condo meetings.

Everyday ther eis something new. Managment is great and the co-workers are nice. 
The hardest part of the job is that there maybe times that there is alot of work load for one day and feel like your playing catch up all the time, But makes the day go by fast.

Schedule Mon to Friday 830 to 430

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Managers aren't very nice.  Lot of back stabbing 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic.  Supervisor is a bully.

It is a great place to interact with people on a daily basis. The management is slow to deal with your everyday issues. Your coworkers are nice to work with. It is a job with many challenges but it has many benefits as well.
