A typical day at kimco would be filled with new experiences as you would run into more problems maybe than the previous day,one thing for sure is your busy,I believe  while working for kimko I learned about recycling, the average person does not think about that,I seen how rubber  tires, vehicles, Cooper wires ,it all gets recycled and made into other products it was quite interesting how certain materials would end up being recycled..The culture at kimco is pretty much local people from kinston thats where Kimbo is located so makes sense alot of people  from Kingston are employed ther .I think the hardest part about working at kimco would be the conditions off working in the winter,you have to be pretty tough to handle those conditions. Some of the more enjoyable moments working at kimco was working out doors in the spring and fall not too hot not too cold perfect temperatures you wouldn't sweat so much like in the hot summer.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people are great. The hours are flexible as far as what shift or days fit your schedule. There is a lot of room for advancement since the place is huge. All that being said, however, this job could be in a potentially dangerous environment. So this is not a job for the simple minded.



What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes, depending on your job and where you are designated, you may have to be outside. Great weather is obviously a good thing, but of course the opposite is unpleasant. Weather extremes can be quite unpleasant. Dress accordingly.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pretty good. Most people are civil and easy to get along with.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
About 8 to 10 hours depending on orders pending. You punch in at the beginning of your shift. Punch out during lunch break. And again at the end of your shift. Everyone’s days are different.

Kimco was a great place to work, very good management, who made my first job experience fantastic, through accommodations, and teaching me skills i would go on to use in everyday life. Work is fun, at lunch there is an amazing food truck, all staff and co workers are very friendly and get along. The only downside in my eyes working there was the weather

Night shift manager actually cares about the people working underneath him, dayshift is lazy because they leave at 17:00 everyday so at 16:30 they stop working, whereas night shift is from 16:00 to 01:00, but you don’t go home till all the trailers are loaded so most days your stuck there till 02:00-03:00, and the other nights your stuck there till day shift comes in at 07:30

Friendly and very helpful, and understanding

Just drive and deliver and pickup then home with no problem or hassle

If you are looking for work you can find it at Kimco, trouble past? Go go to work and do the job. If you can show up to work you’ve got a job. If you work hard they will see that might not get paid more but you can work as much as you want. 

Definitely interested in production and quotas. Benefits aren't worth the money and take to long to become eligible.
If you don't mind getting dirty it's okay and management does go out of their way to help out full time employees

would have to say the company would be amazing place if raises were better and management team were not all out for them selves.

Worked with a team to sort and manage a constant flow of materials on a converter belt.
Aided with troubleshooting when the converter belt wasn’t running and maintained the facility
around the shredder.
Preformed proper LOTO procedures and wore proper PPE.

Put the company ahead of your own needs and you’ll be fine. 
If all you want is hours of work this is a great place to work. If you want home Life you need to be careful what job you’re applying for.
