Culture is going to define your time at Kohls. In my case, management was an awful, cliche-y, stuck-up group, but my fellow employees were really lovely, amazing people in general. That's what made the work tolerable. Management was so pushy and snobby that I considered actually turning into one of THOSE employees, who doesn't show up all the time or on time, because I despised having to deal with them that much. It was a relief when the better managers were on the clock because the store atmosphere was so much better as a result.

Kohls is a fun work place its easy going i mean a typical day would be go to your department do what they ask for that day and go home.
I worked there as a seasonal worker which was for 3 months and in that time i learned how to pick and pack an order work to do inventory and send items to the sorter which is 5 departments in 3 mths not bad. Yea you may have some co-workers who wont work as hard as you do but hey its the job YOU get done that counts.

At Kohl's, work is all about TEAMWORK ; customer service,  and promising growth. What I especially like about Kohl's, is that it serves as an arm of employment extension for professional level employees who are interested in obtaining a flexible part time job. Additionally, students and entry level employees are opportune to grow and develop a professional career at Kohl"s. Finally, Kohl's offers time flexibility, great benefits and rewards, coupled with competitive wages.

Had to change signage for half the store as the other 5 of 7 works wouldn't do anything but screw around all night. Was constantly blamed for signage errors that were caused by working coming in and moving merchandise after signs had been changed. They never moved the signs. Eventually had to tell a supervisor to stop messing up my signs and do their job right. Issue was solved after that.

A typical day at work was usually busy so I had to learn to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. The job taught me how to prioritize on what needed to be done and yet initiate friendliness and communication with the customers.

My days at Kohl's were normally good ones. I worked in the Jewelry department mostly and I learned a lot about the jewelry and beauty products. Management was helpful and understanding most of the time. I loved dealing with the jewelry and being behind the counter made me feel like I accomplished something big everyday

the best place to work with good benefits for employee's , It was great working here it helped me to regain my confidence and every staff right from the manager to the supervisor was very co-operative  and also a guiding factor for each and every employee.

At first when I started I thought it was a wonderful company to work for. That was only because the location I was a part of was the number one store in the company for that year and the next year. When the success faded, everything fell apart.

Fast paced environment with opportunity for professional development. Opportunity to experience different stores in your area. Great Manager in Training program.
