A work day at L'Oreal is never typical: it is constantly changing and filled with new challenges. It ranges from solving various issues (strategic and logistic), product forecast analysis, business analysis and creating successful launch executions in store. The objective of every day was to seek new ways to grow the business and implement these programs nationally.

I have learned many skills at this role that are viable for my future career success. The most important skill is being able to adapt in a constantly changing environment and make strategic decisions under pressure of tight deadlines. Another valuable skill which I have learned is conducting detailed, sku-specific analysis to understand all aspects of the business and emerging market trends.

The management is quite supportive and is dedicated to the success of their team. They are demanding, yet motivating and rigorously work on developing their employees, both personally and professionally.

The co-workers at L'Oreal are very friendly and enthusiastic. Everyone is very helpful and will always prioritize the needs of the team over their own.  The people at L'Oreal are the most innovative and intelligent minds that I have had the pleasure of meeting. 

The most difficult part of the job is managing tight deadlines when required elements do not arrive on time. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is the ownership and creative freedom that you are given of your business. You have autonomous control of all your projects and all ideas to grow the business are welcome.

L'Oreal provides employees with superb training and coaching. The challenge is that eventually the excessive demands on your personal life begin to outweigh the professional benefits. Reluctance to challenge status quo is another challenge they currently face and as a result many key players resign or go on burn out leave. As a manager who works hard to retain and motivate employees these are red flags that are a major concern. I appreciate my time at L'Oreal and credit them with helping me to excel and become the astute business woman I am today. Like all experiences in life, it was time to leave and try new opportunities.

I was pretty excited when I took on a job at l'Oreal, but became disappointed pretty quick. I worked in the operations, many of the supervisors are young and inexperienced, and because of that will avoid dealing with problems in the workplace, cause they don't want to or don't know how. I found it to be the most immature working environment. I hate to share this, but I was also a victim of many verbally, racially insensitive remarks on a regular basis directed at me, supervisors were aware and did nothing. L'Oreal preaches "diversity", but I guess that is the image they would like to get across and convince people of, but not much practice of it, in my opinion. Because of my negative experience, I do not purchase any L'Oreal products.

Working for this company is a challenging experience I ever had. I have learned a lot from promoting new products and promotions, preparing weekly and monthly sales reports as well as preparing monthly and year-end inventory. The management is very supportive of all of their employees. The company provides training, commision if the employees are able to reach the specified monthly quota as well as offers equal opportunity to all of its employees. The challenging part of this job is how to attain your monthly target or quota knowing that the competition is at the high level and lots of competitors are just around. However, the employees help each other and treat each other with respect despite the competition in the working place.

L'Oreal is great company overall to start your career. It's very fast paced so things can get stressful. Work-life balance is not great but the company is really trying to work on that and introduce new initiatives/policies. It's a great school, you will learn a lot and meet some very talented people. However, it's a french company so you will have to learn french at some point if you are considering a long term career there....

The company has a strong culture of learning and development, with opportunities for interns to learn from experienced professionals and develop their skills. Interns are often given meaningful projects and responsibilities, which can help them to gain valuable experience and make significant contributions to the company.

In addition, L'Oreal is known for its supportive and inclusive culture, where diversity is celebrated and everyone is encouraged to bring their whole selves to work. Interns have reported feeling like they were part of a team and that their contributions were valued, which can be a very positive experience for those who are just starting out in their careers.

On a typical day, I merchandised the products and helped the customers with any questions that they had. There was barely any time wasted because the workplace was usually very busy and everywhere needed someone to merchandise.
The most enjoyable part of this job was to learn about how customer service works and what the were customers looking for. The hardest part of the job was to find a sold out product from the warehouse. 
Management team controlled everything and there was nothing that was unorganized under their supervision. They tried their best to make the environment of the workplace organized through controlling most of the employees.

• Prepared daily sales goals based on previous sales records and assist planned inventory accordingly
• Coordinated and monitored inventory, communicated with other department store to ensured sufficient stock 
• Managed wide variety of customer service and administrative tasks to resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently
• Strive for quick complaint resolution; commended by supervisor for the ability to resolve problems on the first call and avoid escalation of issues

I worked L'Oreal Warehouse Sale for four weeks as a Beauty Advisor for both Lancome And Yves Saint Laurent cosmetic counter for their spring sale. The workplace was very busy as you'd expect. Management team was very friendly, organized and respectful towards everyone. Typically the day consisted of educating clients different makeup products based on their needs and wants which then I'd make suggestions based on that information,build relationships with clients, preformed foundations swatches to make clients skin tone and demonstrations.
Overall L'Oreal was a great workplace environment, good management team and was a good place to work.
