The team consists of highly skilled engineers, offering ample opportunities to work on complex, large-scale distributed systems—ideal for honing architectural thinking and execution.

The culture encourages innovation with relatively open collaboration across teams. However, project timelines can be constrained by corporate-level planning, and architectural decision-making processes could be more streamlined. While R&D output is technically sound, the transition from research to product implementation could be more efficient.

Lenovo seems to have pulled out all the stops to be a modern workplace.  The building is open concept, bright and lively; which encourages collaboration and team building.  The people and the culture is exactly what one looks for in a place of employment.

The pay and the benefits are more than competitive.  However, with such a small footprint in Canada, and small scale services wins in the US, it is difficult to stay challenged and stimulated.  The turnover rate is low (and tenureship high) which also means it is difficult to move up in your role, and look for bigger responsibilities.

Working as an Accountant at Lenovo has been an enriching experience. The work environment promotes professional growth, collaboration, and innovation. The team is full of highly skilled individuals who foster a culture of teamwork, making complex tasks manageable and more enjoyable. The leadership is approachable and supportive, often providing constructive feedback that has contributed significantly to my personal development

An amazing center where you can learn about great new products to help move business forward.  I have attended a few Proof of Technology sessions here over the years and they've always been very beneficial.  They have a large parking garage to the back of the building with overflow parking beyond that.  Funding a space as a guest has never been a problem.

Overall good place to work, network, learn, gain experience in the industry. 

The one place where Lenovo falls short is leadership. There is a disconnect between the higher ups and the people working with channel partners and customers.

If you are IT related background, you can gain both business knowledge and technique knowlege.

Lenovo is a great company to work for, youthful atmosphere and a great place to learn about the IT industry.  Be prepared to work long hours as the company is lean, and you will be able to see and learn how a company operates.

When I was there, we had several layoffs ahead of us.  We had been sold by IBM to Lenovo, so the "spirit" wasn't overly hopeful. Our new CEO actually told people to prepare for the worst

Lenovo is the world's #1 PC seller.   The people I worked with were amazing, but as it's normal within the IT world, end of year resource actions happened every year.   I was caught up in that this year.   The people I worked with are what I miss the most!
