It is a job for passionate people. Teaching someone who is struggling in school (at any level) is a challenging task. However, working along side with students on a personal level is rewarding in itself. Preparing personalized lesson plans, practice problems and tests are a minimum. You can even go above and beyond by preparing personalized notes for the student if they do not grasp the material from class. From personal experience, this helps them much more in the long run. A typical day is using your time to prepare the aforementioned documents and reviewing the material if needed. 
Building relationships with the students is the most enjoyable thing about the job. It is amazing to see how much the students share with you about themselves through out the semester/year together (and vice versa). The most difficult about the job, just like in life, is patience. There will be days where the student just does not get it. Instead of getting frustrated, the best tutors, come up with creative/more simplistic ways of getting the message across. Management is very helpful and supportive supplying each tutor with material such as previous final exams and tests. You work at your own pace by limiting yourself to how many clients you wish to take on, so the stress level is not immense.

A very flexible and positive community defines this productive and expansive company. Management is very friendly and understanding, the policies are easy to follow and well organized and the pay is very reasonable for the work assigned. Be wary of the restrictive clause in the contract that prevents working with other tutoring companies, however. It can limit your career options if you focus only on academic tutoring, and they don't explain that they tolerate work with tutoring seniors, ESL and other fields up front. It is also very difficult to advance in the company without working in very specific areas, so it's not a good option for career development at the entry level--try applying to management positions instead.

At Liberty Tutoring, management is involved up to the point where the clients (students) are handed off the to tutors. As a tutor taking on a new student, session days and times are established and agreed upon with the clients. As a tutor, there is a lot of freedom because of the previously described, which is a very enjoyable part of the job. This means that the tutor also takes on their own responsibilities and must make sure to abide by the schedule that is established. This has helped me learn how to work independently and make sure that the client is satisfied on my own, without the help of management.

They cancelled my interview last minute instead of asking for a follow up on my transcripts. I find it unprofessional since I took time of my day for that and even prepared. I would not recommend working for them. There are really professional companies out there that would offer better wages and who are friendlier

Didn't work there very long but loved the experience. Got the chance to help great kids that were struggling in physics/math subjects. 

Liberty Tutoring provided great flexibility. I got to choose where I wanted to tutor, and had complete autonomy in preparing my tutoring sessions.

Amazing tutoring company. Fair pay and the managers are great people to be working with. Sometimes you will get clients, sometimes it is a little slower during certain times of the year. Little room for growth but it is a great side-hustle for students. 

It was great working for the company. They value everyone and let them work using the method they want. Freedom is given to the tutors but help is always given. Always ready to give material to the tutors to work with.

Tutoring students in different subjects with time flexibility. I've learned a lot of teaching skills that allowed me to be able to deliver complicated scientific topics at ease.

Productive fun workplace really nice, operational manager is amazing very understanding, kind and patient , we mostly just interact with the students and the parents

Get to travel around a lot and meet new people. Over time you begin to build quite a rapport with many clients based on whether or not you are a good fit for them.
