I spent most of my adult life working here and was able to grow my career along with the company. It was a small, 4 person business when I began and, when I moved on 19 years later, it had grown 70x in size. Because the company is growing like crazy, it can be wild and hectic. If you're just looking for an easy job where you can coast through the day and do the minimum needed to collect your salary, then this isn't the job for you. If you're up for a challenge, ambitious, and willing to work hard, you can really go far with this company. It's still family run, which means you're going to be interacting directly with the owners. When you make mistakes, you'll get immediate feedback from the very top. This also means, when you have issues, you can go directly to the owners anytime, and they will listen and act. There are not many multi-million dollar companies where you can say that and this can be very empowering if you're mature enough to run with it. Working here is challenging, but the rewards were certainly worth it for me.

The other staff are in general not horrible and most are even friendly but it was rare people would actually tell you if you did something right or wrong. On the job training was garbage and if you didn't click immediately they fired you. The blame game seems to be the favorite game here since everything is someone else's fault. Which is understandable considering management has little patience for mistakes and is quick to let people go. Unless you know you are perfect and can handle being surrounded by people who are constantly angry and are ok with fearing for your job everyday unless you are absolutely mission critical (until they find someone better) then avoid these guys. Only good thing was a few of the employees in receiving are fun guys despite always hating on each other and the sales and accounting teams each seem like ok people to be around.

A typical day at Lion Rampant Imports is very fast paced and can be hectic at times but all in all is a great place too work. Threw the time I have worked there I have learned multiple things , but, the best has defiantly got to be invoicing. invoicing made me feel independent and motivated me to be a better employee/team member. The hardest part of working for LRI was how far the warehouse is from where I live it drained my energy before I even got to work which would make my days extremely long. My over all review for Lion Rampant Imports is this is a great and fun place to work with great people who love to laugh , it is defiantly a family environment.

Typical day routine, was to open building, receive goods into inventory, review emails, import export documents, create new import /export documents, address any pricing issues, staff issues, tech issues, building issues, aid finance, sales, purchasing, shipping and owners in creating or troubleshooting various reports designed in Excel or access.

Most enjoyable part of the job was dealing with various freight companies, negotiating lower freight rates, importing new and unusual games from over seas.

Really great sales team, and purchasing team. The Senior Reps are super supportive and amazing.

A typical day was calling customers, learning products and cold-calling potential clients.

One owner was a great leader and could invigorate the team to do the best they could.

The hardest part of the job was the other owner would often intrude on sales and purchasing often causing problems.

The most enjoyable aspect of the job was the people i worked with and the customers.

It was a great place to work honestly and I loved every minute there. I learned lots about board games, sales, and social media campaigns.

Infighting, constant staff changes, here today .... gone tomorrow .... literally! EXTREME MICRO-MANAGEMENT! 

For sales staff, typical day starts with the 10 am meeting. 
Then it's sell, sell , sell.

It's repetitive, and sometimes quite boring. For a company with over twenty five years in business, management is shockingly amateurish.

The hardest part of the job is keeping motivated. The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting the customers at the company's Springtime open house.

The job itself isn’t bad , but there is a toxic environment that management finds exceptable. Coworkers are threatened by people who work hard as they fear it will make them look bad ! So if hired work as slow as you can! No raises , even after probation period. This job isn’t for your average happy go lucky hard worker , that for sure !!! 

Lion Rampant Imports is a family owned and operated company. It is a great place to work, there are some great people there and the work is neither hard nor strenuous. The management is very easy to get along with and like to have the company tight knit like a family. The workplace environment is also very relaxed, but at the same time everyone gets the job done.

A great group of people to work with. Warehouse setting, picking orders of board games for customers. Lots of walking and filling up carts of products and running them through the shipping software and loading onto pallets. Be aware you will probably work late every day as it is based on customer needs so don't expect to go home every day at 5:30. Clean environment, cool products!
