A company that strongly promotes continuous improvement and 5S principles, but is very much stuck with an aging management group that has been in charge for 30 plus years and are not willing to make the changes necessary that justify their doubling of production in recent years.

The compensation and benefits package was average to above average. The work was not stressful but also not challenging, other than trying to convince management in the main office to make the necessary changes to move forward. 
The production office was very forward-thinking, however. 

The culture can be quite a shock if you are not used to it. A high number of people come across as rude and blunt -  especially in the production office, but in general, there are a lot of good people there once you peel back that first layer. 

Be warned, however, that in the main office, complaining and office politics are very high, whereas action towards fixing problems is very low. 

If you are the type that likes to just show up to work and do the minimum amount required and keep your mouth shut then you will likely be an excellent employee here.

Enjoyed working with the staff at LMI I found them helpful, high energy and work oriented an excellent group of people. Further established my capabilities as being a team player as LMI is a team based facility. I was able to learn new skills which I can utilize in any facility that I will be hired in in the future. The hardest part of the job was building the database of drawings which were to be used on the plasma table I found to be tedious but interesting as again I was able to acquire a new skill to carry forward into my future career opportunity.

Management doesn’t care about you, they just want you to work and get the job done. I have never felt so unappreciative anywhere I have ever worked. The entire office staff is unhappy, always. HR is a joke - they definitely are not there to support the employees and just suck up to management. Not a great place to be - company culture couldn’t be worse if they tried. Some co workers ok but most are just bitter and sad. 

Unorganized, constantly waiting on parts, management is mediocre at best, cant trust HR, or the managers, safety is half decent, dirty and hot , consatnt dust storm, work bays are not stocked with tools and always a mess when you come back in, big competition between days and nights supervisors stand in the way of a decent work enviroment, 

The attitude and perceived culture that the HR staff and upper management when you  arrive to work here is supportive until you ask for anything.. time off, tools , support, flexibility with life inside and outside of work. It’ll always backfire on you here LMI. If your looking to make a quick buck and move on this is place for you, but if you want to be treated like a decent human being I recommend NOT handing in a resume here. 

The job is a joke. New hires are treated poorly, undertrained then blamed for mistakes. Management makes promises and then fails to follow through, and that is consistent, top to bottom. Very biased, management has their favorites, and you can truly tell the difference between someone who is a favorite and someone who isn't.

If you like to be brow beating your employees, or be brow beaten by upper management. If you enjoy being poorly trained , and doing your managers job along side of yours . This is perfect for you ! Don’t waste your time applying to this company that is stuck in the 50’s style of management and culture. 

HR is a complete joke. Workers accuse each other of theft and have zero work ethic. Supervisors have zero education and it’s line assembly work in a terrible work environment where you cannot trust anyone. Someone was made to work the next day after waking up in the hospital after a major car accident.

By far the most unprofessional company I’ve worked for. Management treats you like children. Yard is extremely unorganized. Inside the plant is a mess with skids covering the floor. No room to safely operate a forklift. Break room vending machines don’t stay cool, chocolate bars come out melted. Overall a  -10/10. The employees only stay for the pay. Nothing great about this place. STAY AWAY!!!

This place has grown substantially within the last 5 years. No lack of challenges but hard to keep up with the changes. Opportunities for hard working employees with stress on continuous improvement. Publicly traded company so lots of required compliance.
