I have been working at Low Freight Rate for over a year now, and I can confidently say that it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. As an employee, I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of such a thriving and dynamic organization.

I have worked at this company for over 2 years and I'm very happy here!  It is fast paced for sure, but that's what happens when the company continues to grow like wild fire.  Our staff has increased by 25% since I started!  The management team is awesome!  They genuinely care about each of their employees and treat us all like family.  Not a day goes by that we don't hear laughter in the office and half the time it's brought on by our managers.  Our happiness makes them happy.  They are very serious about company growth AND personal growth, so their doors are always open to us whenever we have suggestions, questions or any issues to discuss whether business related or personal.  They are generous with their praise for a job well done and they are kind when addressing any errors or missteps.  Management regularly shows their appreciation for our efforts and accomplishments.  There is no micro-managing here.  Nobody is breathing down our necks or putting any undue pressure on us.  The pay is comparable to other freight forwarders, but the atmosphere is far greater.  It's a wonderful thing when you wake up on Monday morning and actually look forward to going to the office to work along side your second family.

This place is unorganized, the management is condescending. No clear directions. Management and Supervisor are moving in 2 different directions, so you don’t know who to take directions from without getting in trouble. I refused the job at first because they were offering me less than what was on the job post, then they agreed to pay me more with hopes of increase salary in the future, which I should’ve took as a red flag. They ended up letting me go 7 weeks later because of their so called poor planning of not having enough budget to keep me on. Management called me in a room that day and told me that they were hoping I messed up on the day I was left to work on my own so firing me would be easier, but I actually did a good job that they. I didn’t argue with them when they let me go cause I was already looking for a job while working. Ended up finding a job that paid $15k more per year. I wouldn’t recommend working for these people. Extremely toxic

I really enjoyed my time working at LFR.  Very fast paced and a lot going on.  As they are growing, they are streamlining processes so there's a lot to learn but they are very open to advice and aren't afraid to spend on tools that will increase productivity.  The owners have invested a lot into technology and marketing.  The owners are amazing and have an open door policy!  They are very understanding and caring individuals.  The company is growing like crazy and they are in the process of opening offices overseas and are hiring new employees here regularly.  There is definitely a lot of work to do but I liked that.  It was never boring and environment was very fun.  The pay is fair and they are pretty good about bonuses.  Never had any issue with time off (because I never really took time off.)  I Wish them all the best.  When I am ready to come back to work they have told me they I always have a home with them.

To start with, they will say you have a good attitude and want to give you a chance. they will ask you to come for a trial.  You join them and a few days later will ask you that they want to reduce the work for current employees and so can not keep you because they have to train you. Gave me my contract and after 2 days they said no. I advise people not to go for this company unless they want to take risks with their financial life. They like to hire only experienced people but will not tell you. I am glad that I was taken back at my previous job. This company has no future. They expect you to work from home after company hours too. I was told the employees work 18 hours a day for this company. 

I would have given them zero stars for a few of the above ratings if i could.
first lets start with the salary, i feel like more money could be made making coffee at Timmies. Next to no compensation for the work you put in, benefits are non existent.
Management/ Authorities are un-supportive, demeaning, rude individuals.
workplace culture is very messy, they seem like they are "business men" but don't know anything about freight brokering. 

if you want to move 3 loads a day for some change and get put down for small mistakes this is the place for you!
Find a real freight forwarding company to work for, not this 3 person place that works out of an office of a used clothing warehouse.

Its been almost a year and a half since i started working here and This is  ' THE BEST ' company that I have worked for till now. Since I started working here I have learned a lot of things that helped to develop my skill set. The work atmosphere is amazing. Friendly staff and management , no matter what the issue is they always stand by and guide you through be it personal or professional. They pay is fair too. It's a fast paced environment like any other freight forwarding company. Just love the time I spend with them.

Working for LFR has been an amazing experience for me. Their management treats you as a family and helps you achieve excellence. Their hierarchy is well maintained, highly appreciated, and accessible.
Work culture is never overburdened. 
Being a LowFreightRate.ca employee, I go home with no stress and a sense of contentment.

Everyone at this company is very friendly and welcoming. Employees are well respected and taken care of. Wonderful group on people to work with!

LFR definitely cares about their employees as they cut cake for employee birthdays, provide lunches on special occasions, and show appreciation which is hard to find now a days.
