Lustre Products is a great employer if you are looking for consistent manufacturing work. They are generous with extended benefits being 100% employer paid. As the other reviews state it can be quite hostile with management, making all the benefits of working here less than desirable. There is no formal management training and their skill sets are inadequate in that department. Nobody is personable in management or takes feedback into consideration… instead they will gossip in the office about employees. Beware of conniving personalities and err on the side of caution with this company. If you are not liked, lead hands and supervisors will either repeatedly give you the mind numbing jobs or take away tasks until you slowly get pushed into doing the grunt work. There are select employees here who will twist your words and use them against you so it is in your best interest to keep to yourself. There is a reason for such a high turnover rate…


I worked here for almost 10 years and it's a great place to work, if you are willing to put the time in you will advance quickly to other departments if you let them know where you want to go in the company. There are yearly reviews to see how your doing and what you want from the company. Open door policy with management so you can go talk to anyone at anytime. There is a Christmas party with prizes and dinner where you can meet everyone who works in different areas in a relaxed setting. New equipment is brought in to make jobs easier and all ppe is supplied to you, I've mentioned ppe equipment not there that would help and it's there sometimes that week. Great local place to work. Oh and there is pizza lunches a few times a year for safety goals being met.

Lustre is a good job if youre after a consistant schedule, being indoors, and don't mind really repetitive tasks. If you are liked within the company you will be able to tell and vice versa. The company really likes a go getter, they will move you through doing more variety if youre quick at your job. The benefits being covered entirely by the employer was a good plus. Not a bad place to work, but they seem to be more set on making new employees than trying to keep staff they have. 

Lustre Products wants to make sure that all the candidates are going to be a good match to their existing Team. the questions they asked were simple to answer if you have direct knowledge and experience in the field you are applying for. During the interview there are 3 members of the board asking individual questions. the atmosphere is relaxed and easy going. the questions asked need to be answered and accompanied with direct examples you have had in previous areas.  

If you want to work and are looking for opportunities, 4 day work weeks, benefits and good team, this is a great place.  As a manufacturer / production facility the job is busy and you can succeed well with a good attitude and work habit. A few different internal departments with different work options and internal opportunities for apprenticeships.  

Four day work week. There is work involved, you can’t expect a retail type job standing around talking. Work hard and show up you will be treated more than fair! I only left to purchase a home where I could afford it. I would work for luster products again in a heartbeat. 

I have been working for Lustre Products for the better part of a decade. Nothing but positive effects on mine and my families lives. Went from a semi skilled labourer to red seal journeyman and led hand. All with the support from an excellent managment team. Only ever had jobs. Now I have a career. 

Lustre is a good job, with good people. Patience is key when starting a job here, as the work is very repetitive, and depending on what you’re doing, boring, however the longer you stay the more diverse your range of work will be. 

The starting wage is good, the hours are good, and the work environment is clean.

This job would be perfect if employees were allowed to listen to music, and the addition of music would probably increase employee retention. 

Great environment. Fast paced. Great team. Very approachable management and leadership teams that help grow your skills through all departments. I felt very welcomed on my first day they guided me through the process and over the next few years allowed me to grow and progress my skill set with future opportunities 

This place is good for the work that it is. Lots to do and room to grow. However,  of there is any kind of conflict or toxicity, the company will say that they care about your well being and do what they can to help you. In the end, it's all words and no actions. Leaving great employees feeling miserable and in the end, wanting to leave. Be cautious about looking into working here.
