Owner will occasionally walk in and add more workload for you by making random drinks and treat you terribly. Pay is NEVER ON TIME. I had to ask the owner on multiple occasions to pay me and still had to wait more than a week afterwards. I autopilot most of my shifts because nothing is enjoyable. The drinks are bland and they are so strict about the free employee drinks that it makes you not want to make anything. The most ridiculous part is that we're not allowed to make anything above 7$ when almost all (decent) drinks are around 8$ or more. I have worked morning shifts but was pulled to the side by the owner and scolded at for not fulfilling responsibilities MEANT FOR THE CLOSING SHIFTS. They cannot manage the store if their life depended on it. For your own mental health and physical health, work LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. 

Without exaggeration this may have been the worst place Ive ever worked before. There such little respect for their workers with late pay for so much expected labor, little to no breaks during long and enduring 5-8 hour shifts. The ceo would constantly give late pay (like TWO WEEKS to even a MONTH DELAY of late pay) with physical cheques and delaying transitioning to e-cheques despite employees relentlessly requesting to switch to digital for years. Paying your employees on time or atleast within a reasonable time frame is the BARE MINIMUM of respect you should give to your employees. 

I was so uncomfortable working here, this job gave me trauma and asking for even the bare minimum within your workers rights was so difficult. I would never recommend it to anyone. Please avoid working here at all costs. 

I would not recommend anyone to work here. They have unrealistic expectations of their workers, especially of new ones, and constantly compare you with other co-workers who work "better" than you. The boss frequently forgets to pay you on time or fails to pay you at all. Most of the time, you are talking to the manager so that the manager can communicate with the boss, because the boss rarely responds to messages. Overall, my experience here was awful and stressful due to pay issues.

-Minimum pay with no benefits but expects you put in 200% effort
-Changes recipes without telling anyone and expects employees to already know
-Pay always never on time
-Owner gets mad at employee for the littlest things
-Poor communication with employees and does not understand employee needs 

Highly suggest any other bubble tea store instead of working here

Absolutely terrible management that is extremely lazy and makes their workers do all the dirty work. Pay would never be on time and would often be incorrect (eg. not including time and a half for holidays, no overtime). The owner also has a very bad temper. They are constantly changing their recipes but do not inform you and then blames you for not knowing. I would recommend being a barista at any other place other than here. 

Every time I walk into this store I get PTSD. If you are looking for stress and white hair this is the place for you. You do everything for minimum wage. Basically no benefits to working here. Management is unorganized, uncooperative, and demanding. All at minimum wage! The most enjoyable part is leaving at the end of the day. The hardest part of the job is having to walk through that door. Stay away.

Owners would never pay on time, it was hard to keep track of hours work and know if you were ever paid the right amount of hours as there was no pay stub. Little to no communication from owners on changes and would get angry and take out on employees when their high standards were not met. Bad pay and had to fight hard for a raise.

I would not suggest working here. Toxic owners with poor mental health, you must sign your life away, dirty environment and terrible pay. Save your time and apply somewhere else. 

Doing many things for a minimum paying job is not ok. They expect you to do so much but do not increase workers pay. Constantly changing recipes and expects workers to keep up with it. M Chabar needs to increase their pay, so it's fair for the workers. Please consider as it will help for future references

Never got a paycheck on time. Minimal employee benefits. Never took in your availability preferences. Workplace was very hectic and stressful. 3 locations but at least 1 location does not have an update on the newest recipes/changes and workers get blamed.
