Previously worked as a registered kin at the Woodbridge location. Truthfully speaking salary could be better however working here grants you an amazing opportunity especially for you’re a new grad to gain industry experience and knowledge. You meet a lot of individuals and gain great clinical knowledge/ experiences with both patients and fellow practitioners. You are granted the autonomy of implementing your own system with fellow work peers on how the clinic is run with guidance from management. The direct supervisor in charge is really nice and most helpful Practitioner. If you are having any trouble just remember communication is key :) 

I got this opportunity right after graduating from CMCC. In fact I have been in contact with the company since my last year of study. That really eased my transition from academia to professional industry.

I was mostly interested in learning how MVA clinics work. Being a CMCC alumni herself, the clinic director was very supportive during my initial training. I have now gotten used to this place.

Every day is a productive day. I personally dont like to sit idle so thankfully, the clinic is filled with patients mostly. My clinic staff is helpful to manage the flow of patients, so that makes my job a bit easier. The busy workload is both the most enjoyable and hardest part of the work. Maybe its the clinic location in a higher populated area; not sure. I havnt worked at Mackenzie other clinics yet. 

-hectic scheduling with minimal time for addressing patient questions (frequently just going through the motions)
-management is demanding and does not encourage you
-work culture is toxic; you are overworked and under-appreciated
-lawyer opinions trump clinical judgment
-compensation is okay but there are better options which don't require you to sell your soul

It’s a lot of work for basically minimum wage. You are an administrative assistant as well as PTA. You are expected to complete the job of 2 people while getting paid the salary of one person. You are expected to run the entire clinic, scheduling, calling patients, printing explaining and signing forms, responding to 50+ emails a day, answering any calls coming into the clinic, doing inventory, on boarding new patients, while also teaching exercises and ensuring every patient does these exercises and completing reassessments. 

Lack of professionalism
Mismanagement 
Overexpecting authorities
Lack of job responsibilities distribution (you have to do everything irrespective of your position, on the name of team work)
Lack of staff retention
More of patient centered clinic which is a good thing; however no importance to staff given, who retains the patients eventually.

I am a current employee and really like me job. Its challenging and busy. And I really like the sense of accomplishment from working here. I have developed a good knowledge of the insurance industry and learned a few tricks. The company is fun and always trying to create a fun and interactive working environment. The office looks like a google office. Its a really cool space! 

Mackenzie Medical has been a wonderful experience so far. The collaborative environment gives practitioners a chance to hone their skills while helping the patients in their treatment. Its a MVA based clinic so patient care has to be kept at utmost priority. I am looking forward to what comes next.

along with your workload you are also expected to answer phone calls right away and assist the receptionist. 
good place to gain experience

Great environment to work in, with helpful coworkers who will assist when you are in need.  I appreciate the fact that they do not micromanage and trust their employees.  As an employee here they require you to be able to work independently and also work as a team member.  Throughout the year management organizes fun things to do with the employees which switches things up and is enjoyable.
