MDS Laboratories

Typical day at MDS was busy but good for my phlebotomy learning. I started here as a co op student in 2002. It was good training and a foot in the door toward the medical profession. I put my phlebotomy and ecg recording learning to great use here. The Management has changed now since I have been there , but overall I would have to say they were pretty good people. My co workers there were great . The hardest part of the job was driving from Sarnia to London each day. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting the patients and learning.

I like the job but 
I had supervisor that was a truck driver no experience in this field and a manager that had no experience as well never ever worked in a lab experience so they told all of us where they work before this.
To much  gossiping and hurting to get friends or family in this job to the point they would lie to get someone fired untruthful lots of back stabbing as well but the job itself was great and I love it love the people

I grew a lot over the years working at MDS and it was a fabulous experience related to patient testing reports, as I had supported 5 physicians.  This was a great department

I enjoyed my work here every day.  Unfortunately, my job was moved to another city to which I could not follow.  I completed all required collections and tests during my time here.

I loved working with the people at MDS. They were a great group who cared for the people they encountered. We endured SARS and the big black out together professionally and efficiently.

Very diverse.  Many opportunities for development although few full time opportunities as they prefer part timers.  Flexible scheduling and training opportunities.

i worked here in different  areas also a good place to work but not enough hours at the time for me, this was a time when i needed lots of hours with a young family now i dont need as many

14 years of service with the company. I went through various positions within the company during my tenure. I enjoyed working with different staff at different locations.

Easy environment to work in.  Added skills developed as phlebotomist.  Collection of other biological samples within a safe manner.  Respectful of clients.
