While I did gain valuable experience during my time there, the overall work environment left a lot to be desired. First off, there was no onboarding or training provided. New hires are expected to figure things out on their own. 

The workplace culture was virtually non-existent, with management actively discouraging any form of socialization among team members, highlighted by the fact that there are surveillance cameras in every corner of the office and warehouse space.

The company operates under a family-run structure. Managers are relatives of the owner, and HR is managed by a family member. This makes it nearly impossible to voice concerns and expect fair treatment. Family members frequently argue and enter screaming matches in closed doors, making the entire office feel extremely uncomfortable.

There are no opportunities for growth or advancement. Requests for well-earned raises - even when backed by performance were either ignored or quickly dismissed for no specific reason.

Their infrastructure is outdated and inefficient, with no support for remote work. There is no effort to modernize or provide any necessary resources to our team because management refuses to change their old ways. For a distributor that sells thousands of SKUs to their customers, I am astonished that their systems still utilize old forms of infrastructure, not to mention that there are no project management software in use.

Overall, while the role added to my skillset, it is not a place I would recommend for anyone seeking long-term stability, support, or career development. Avoid this place.

People kept quitting because this job is actually horrible. The co-workers are super nice but you are constantly getting yelled at by your manager and supervisor. You are expected to lift QUITE heavy skids and boxes. 

Two of the ladies there, that have been there the longest (Shirin and Burnie), especially Shirin are constantly making fun of you and yelling at you. The manager and the assistant manager are veryyy two-faced.

The manager does not even know ANYTHING about the job. Only the assistant manager has good knowledge about products and etc. and she is expected to do everything. 

The time I was there, she broke down about 4-5 times because she was extremely stressed. This job crushes your mental health.

This company is horrible. I would not recommend anyone but especially summer students. The employees were horrible to students, you were never given a set schedule. You weren't told when to come in until the day before, and you never know when you leave until the day of. Managers knew that the staff would try to get summer students in trouble and did not bother to tell them to stop. Also, don't be surprised if they put your employment "on hold" and ever call you back in. Overall horrible place to work would not reccomed for anyone

When i worked at Merangue International it was the worst managed place i very work at in my 40 years of working in Canada..There was no safety commity ..Very dangerous to drive reach truck there the isles were always filled with skids of product doubled stacked..They treat there employees with no respect..The pay was very poor..The lead hands would bully the pickers and packers and make them cry..I would never recommend this place to work there..I was very happy to leave that place..I would never go back..

I WORKED THERE AS A PART TIME. SAT. AND SUN. I LEARNED HOW TO PICK, USED THE SCANNER, PACKING, DISPLAYING PRODUCTS. TIME/WORK MANAGEMENT IS A MASS. MY CO-WORKERS ARE GREAT, NICE, FRIENDLY, HARDWORKING AND CONCERN TO EVERYONE. THE HARDEST PART OF THE JOB WAS WHEN I'M LIFTING SOME HEAVY BOXES, FULLING THE SKID WITH LOADS OF BOXES. THE MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF THE JOB WAS SHARING FOODS, JOKES NOT ONLY THAT THEY'RE INTACT AS A ONE BIG FAMILY THAT'S WHAT I LIKE MOST.

Absolutely the worst company ever. Management does not care about employees. They hire people every week because employees are always quitting from work pressure and stress. Managers are very disrespectful and yell at their employees. Management is very unorganized and unprofessional. Lastly, way too much drama and politics within the company. I'd rate them 0 stars if I could,

Stay away very poorly managed company. No respect for there employees, forced to work very long hours and weekends in unsafe warehouse workplace, aisles blocked and pallets of product stacked high and falling over. Terrible wages. Stay away.

It’s a mom & pop shop in business for over 30

The owner is a nice guy but his two daughters don’t have a clue
The manager from the southern US has zero people skills
The warehouse crew are a great bunch of people

No progression ,they want you to work everywhere...they are not following  the safety rules, other workers not wearing safety shoes..the management don't care about the safety..
