Everyone meets Monday. Assignments handed out. Stock service truck with everything you need. Complete  everything by Friday or Saturday. Return to shop unload. Sunday off repeat. Don't be late for the Monday meeting EVER!

Company truck, gas card, and meal allowance.  They will pay for your nice hotel room, or you can get reimbursed and collect the points. 

Meals and hotels expenses paid every 2 weeks. 

Work alone most of the time. Very rare to have anyone else at a job site.  Most field techs are anti social and entitled. Don't expect any praise. 

Bring your own tools. Engrave your name on them.

Any extra copper you don't use can be sold to recyclers. better than overtime. 

Label everything with special label machine stickers, fonts and sizes. 

Mobia has been a revolving door in 2023   with lots of senior employees leaving 
due to an unhappy toxic work environment. They could care less about your metal health. Most mangers have no idea what they are actually managing because they never did the job or care to be involved in the job process and tasks. Management will do anything to cover their poorly managed division from the upper management. Very poor yearly raises with a 6 month late review. Lots of lost talent in 2023. Lots of yearly budget cuts. My advice don't waste your time and go find a company that will actually pay their employees fair and appreciate  your hard work and work ethic. Mobia is all about themselves and your just a number.

Seriously think if you want to be involved with a company like this, Upper management are out of touch, its very much a them and us company, The office staff are looked after, the techs are very much treated as lower class, they are forever preaching safety at meetings then are petty when you call them on being told to do something unsafe or even dangerous.
Long lay offs in the winter for techs, even when work could be found in other departments, pay seems pretty good per hour until you realise you will only be working 6-8 months a year, they  never lay off managers even when the managers don't have anyone working for them, People get promoted from the office clique who know nothing about the position, when numerous techs have proven experience in the position but aren't even considered.

A typical day at Mobia involved constant surveillance and high stress, leaving little room for comfort or creativity. The management style was overly critical and lacked empathy, contributing to a culture of anxiety and job insecurity, especially as the company underwent massive layoffs, impacting 70%-80% of the workforce within a brief period.

Just two weeks after I started at Mobia, our manager asked for a selfie from our team to check if we were working. This felt intrusive and showed the lack of trust from the start. It's one of many examples of how uncomfortable the job was. 

I was laid off from Mobia like other 70% to 80% employee, and am still grappling with the negative experiences I faced there.

Zero flexibility on schedules and the management is terrible. No interaction or sense of belonging with the employer. Others often alienated for being inexperienced and not given time to mature or support to catch up. Schedule is all over the place and would be expected to spend weeks sometimes over a month away from home in remote areas after being promised time off in between that just never came. On a temporary contract which they ensured was not the only work they had but when that shut down they started letting people go right before Christmas of all times.. if it wasnt for the coworkers I worked with, the rental vehicle supplied by work and a decent wage for easy work there would be zero upside.

Currently working for Mobia looking to get out asap. used to be a good company to work for, now Lower Management cannot be trusted and  are clueless on man management ,upper management are out of touch.Technicians treated as a number by immediate management as shown by turn round of staff, nobody stays very long now 90% of staff who were long term employees have left and been replaced by people who do not know the industry and it shows. Not a good company to work for anymore

The company has a lot of different departments of which no two are managed the same. Day to day will depend on your customer and manager. They give preference to hiring/promoting internally so there is options to advance or move around.
There's usually the option to work remote which is nice. 
Don't expect good raises though, the company focuses on expanding their business rather than improving. 
The health benefits are OK. You have to be employed for 2 years before qualifying for RRSP match and they'll only match up to a $1000.

Don’t even bother with this company. Someone else here reviewed and said too many cooks in the kitchen. I couldn’t agree more. Management doesn’t have a clue what goes on they just like to hire other managers with no experience at all (good puppets) while the hard working ones get absolutely no recognition. Decent place to work if all you want is a below average pay cheque and something to do through the day. Other than that, seriously, keep looking for another job besides this one.

professional, friendly, easy to breath

morning huddle, planning, working on deliverables, communication with team members and customers

Company is based in the Atlantic provinces and locations outside of there tend to be treated as second class citizens and all focus is on home office. Small company politics with preferred treatment given to those in the ' inner circle'. Benefits are not bad, but unless things have changed field employees are often sent home without pay, if no work is available.  Making a feeling of lack of job security.
