I was a QA Analyst In this company. People are very self-motivated and kind. Each person brought someting valuable to the group. We could learn different of doing things that we had never thought of.
The testing activities within QA include identifying testing objectives. selecting inputs and computing expected outputs from requirement, setting up the execution environment, executing the tests and analyzing the test results.
The biggest challenge I experienced was to work with keep updating or unclear requirement. It was considered the most dangerous factor to jeopardize the success of project deadline. And I learned how to avoid this situation. The following approaches could be taken:
- Use rapid prototyping whenever possible to help customers feel sure of their requirements and minimize changes.
- We have Change Control Board (CCB) to determine the impact of the change and if/when it should be implemented.
- Team should be clear on requirements, if not then arrange a meeting and resolve it by discussing with BA/Client/Dev Manager.
- Review the application's requirements often. Find bugs immediately after a requirement change has been first implemented.


A typical day at work involved managing daily tasks, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring deadlines were met. I learned how to improve efficiency, handle responsibilities with greater independence, and strengthen both technical and interpersonal skills.

Management was generally approachable and supportive, providing guidance when needed, though at times decision-making could be slow. Workplace culture encouraged teamwork and learning, with colleagues who were willing to help one another.

The hardest part of the job was balancing competing priorities during busy periods, which required good time management. The most enjoyable part was the sense of accomplishment after completing projects successfully and working with a team that valued collaboration.

Extract, validate and manipulate complex data from historical customer, transaction, product, promotion and customer contact history tables from various source data system for use in marketing applications

Enhance coding efficiency of analytics reports using SAS/MACRO, insure data quality by sense check and logic check and address data quality issue

Apply the principles of recency, frequency and monetary to define best customers, make sure a reasonable response rate with large enough customer universe for execution

Effectively communicate with list management to ensure they get a clear customer definition to pull customer list

I learned how to retrieve external data, how to import them, how to use them to do analysis based on customers' requirement, how to generate a report, and also training and peer reviews.
hardest part of the job is to retrieve external data since it sometimes take a long time to wait until the order completed.
The most enjoyable part is to figure out the customers' problem through my analysis and generated report, it makes me quite self-confident.

The biggest challenge for me was to handle large data sets including premium data, transaction data ,claim data , area information and credit data from both internal databases and external information. Before I started my work, I roughly go through the structure of data,to avoid unnecessary mistakes , I communicate with my internal client to get the idea of how data was recorded. Then made my own list of the transaction data to help me understand well about what I am dealing with .Also my co-worker gave me a lot of useful ways to simplify complex data processing procedure.

Everything! The people are all super nice and friendly, probably because we are all treated with respect. Really relaxed, family style atmosphere but doesn't stop your ability to work like some places. Great benefits and snacks/drinks provided. Management really take the time to talk to everyone and listen to opinions.

	Contributed to a wireless customer profiling analysis project, assessing the implications of various factors such as location, age, rate plans, and spending habits on customer activation rates. Provided pertinent information to managers, assisting in developing effective strategies based on demographics in order to gain and retain clientele.

It depend on assignment and work arrangement, my daily work covers from requirements identification, data source verification, data analysis/manipulation, report creation, to feedback collection.

Staff demonstrating initiative are generally assigned challenging job assignments.
