MSJV is a fast-paced environment that demands accuracy and results during long days at the office. With that said competitive, well compensated wages, it is a fair trade. Do your work as you're expected, and it's a smooth sailing relationship.

Culture is generally laid back, and pleasant to work with. There are opportunities for growth, and when the project has been completed, the ability to earn a line item on your resume for working on one of the largest projects in North America. 

Management stayed strong during COVID and kept many of us working during unprecedented times, to which I am personally grateful for. Solid company to work for.

Company is decent. For a beginner.  They treat you real good. Give people more chances than they probably should.  Unfortunately equipment gets damaged and nobody is held accountable.  Pay is good but after taxes it's not worth going out of town if it's not local work. If they offers live out allowance it would be a different story. They force their employees to stay in strict prison like camps. With very low quality food. No personal vehicles allowed.  No socializing allowed.  Guards that try to intimidate you. If you want to leave for a day off good luck.

No service all day but it wasn’t a big deal

Very diverse and a positive work space. The team chemistry awesome 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Wake up, go get food from the camp cafeteria, go to work, do you our morning routine, start work, take breaks/lunch, go back to camp and repeat

Was lied to before I even got there,was told we were getting $1050 per week extra but that never happened,there was no work for the job I was hired to do.was then given the option to take a layoff twice!I did the second time.drive 2600kms home only to find out that they put me down as quit on my record of employment. So no ei,no travel pay and no camp bonus.clac,our union will not go to bat for us guys whatsoever, bad experience from day 1

Construction moves quick and the office staff need to keep up.  This is a typical Pipeline construction culture of doing what it takes to get the job done - everyone is willing to roll up their sleeves and come together as a team to ensure success.  

This provides a lot of learning opportunities and the ability to interact with different departments on a regular basis.

Not a big fan of 6/1 rotation, but it's great work 👍
I have heard rumor that they might offer a rotation for those who have family obligations... But I'm sure that's on hold due to COVID and the Provincial Health Authority making it hard on MSJV workers🤔

I enjoyed my time with msjv their crew's and supervisor's were great although worked for different crew's and supervisors like every job there's some that were lazy but the management would place the right people together. I'd recommend working 

By far worst pipeline atmosphere. I left to work for a huge down the hill as fast as I could. There is one crew who will make anyone feel less than human and I don't need that 

Really enjoyed all the people I worked with, the site itself was a bit disorganized. Operators didn’t care to maintain their equipment and would run it into the ground. Expected to fix things with bubble gum and duct tape until parts eventually showed up. Days would go a mess real quick
