Working at MTS Centre as a merchandiser was a good experience for a first job. Working there consisted of selling cotton candy, colouring books, and lemonade to who attended Disney On Ice. I learned that work does not always come easy -- the cotton candy we had to sell were on poles, and we had to carry the poles up and down the stairs to be easy accessible to the audience, and they were pretty heavy. I did not face any issues with the management, they were friendly and approachable. The only hard part of the job was heavy lifting, but it was not that bad. The most enjoyable part of the job were the people I worked with, and that we got to know each other during breaks.

I was an Usher who helped patrons find their seats or give informations about the event.

I also scanned ticket for patrons coming into the building and made sure that they are coming for the right event.

Serving Popcorn and Beer to customers. Learned to work as a team. The MTS centre has amazing management, very understanding but stern when needed. My personal co-workers that I worked with on a daily basis were amazing, but sometimes I would be sent to another booth and sometimes things wouldn't go as smoothly. I didn't find any part of that job difficult at all, it was very fair work. The most enjoyable part would be working with my usual team, we worked very well together.

Large building, that comes alive in the evenings among the many employees cooperating to make sure the event runs smoothly. Thousands of customers visit the arena regularly giving high demand for quality labour. Excellent Managers above my position as well as other divisions. Regularly saw celebrities up close perform they would perform.

Always fun and constantly supported by management. Very flexible and accommodating hours. Management staff are always willing to help and support you if you have questions or need help. Feels like a family environment even though there are an extremely large amount of employees, very well organized. Staff are always concerned for others' safety with SafeWalk to your car or bus stop after a shift.

It was a pretty decent job yeah the actual work part sucked you definitely do way more than what you're paid for but you got long hours and it was very consistent hours which made it very consistent for bills and still having enough for yourself.

Showing up to work 15 minutes early for work to do four hours of work. Which included setting up and building stages for which ever event was happening that evening. Then leaving for the rest of the day and coming back when event was finished to take down n load trucks within 2-3 hours so they can get to their next event.

very fun team environment with plenty of room for growth. great atmosphere get to see concerts free, watch jets games free and alot of free food benefits as well.

If you can handle loud noises, crowded areas, and a lot of unique individuals then the MTS Centre is the place for you! You also must be loud to grasp customers attention!

 The payroll and the safety adminstation are nice people.Strong safety team.
