I’ll start with the interview, it was quick and simple and I was hired in less than 4 minutes of being there. They are desperate for people and they don’t care about any of your qualifications. The pay rate is $16 per hour with paid 30 min lunch and one 10 minute paid break. Your day shift starts at 6:55-3:15pm you do not get paid for those extra 20 minutes even though you’re physically working!

The job itself is easy and fun but you have to rely on the material handlers to bring you totes and material and you’re lucky if you get anything at all as they’re too busy socializing. Management is terrible and I really don’t think they know what they’re doing to manage a team of about 40 people. They have 2 lead hands that are never around to help as supervisor has them doing all this unnecessary work for him. how can your Team leads help your staff if you’ve got them doing your dirty work.
The staff is just full of drama and no one cares, it’s a very negative environment. Co-workers will drag you into their drama and if you don’t join you become the drama and gossip..

It certainly wasn’t worth it.

MVA Stratford is a competitive company, which has allowed it exponential growth. Through supply chain shortages the company has remained strong and continued to hire and progress their people to higher level roles. 

The management is constantly trying to improve the culture and environment, in addition to securing stable and reliable contracts to keep employees working. 

Employees work as a team, and enjoy a relaxed, safe and clean environment. 

Covid 19 has made things challenging for all employers, however MVA has risen to the occasion and gone above and beyond to ensure a safe and positive experience for employees, and visitors alike. 

The jobs are straightforward, but fast paced. There are a lot of coaching and training opportunities, employees simply need to ask. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
People are nice, work is good. I just couldn't do the mask and work with high heat temperatures with it on my face. Working midnight shift and couldn't sleep properly.

Working midnight shift was hard for my health.

Very nice place, people are nice

Make sure molders are running good, parts are packed properly and labels, dates and #of pieces match.

MVA Stratford Incl. has a Smart team of workers under the efficient supervision and management . I have enjoyed working in MVA.

Sometimes work assignments are hard and stressful

Work environment is quite friendly and everyone tries to work honestly and efficiently.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Every day was a new and typical for me during my work in MVA

A typical day at work would consist of unloading, trimming, organizing and packing plastic parts for shipment. Maintaining the machines was involved too.
I learned how to work hard and maintain focus in an individual setting.
Management was very good and were active in the workplace.
Co-workers were nice and hard-working for the most part.
The hardest part of the job would be loading new materials into machines and dealing with stuck plastic in the molds.
The most enjoyable part of the job is that music is permitted on the floor.

This place was awful! The work place drama is that of a high school. The front office employees are a joke! No one cares, and everything is lost in translation. None of the shifts communicate with one another, parts are always being sent back, if you get on one of the “popular kids” bad side consider yourself fired, the turn over rate is ridiculous, and all the other shifts blame each other for mistakes while the front office people do nothing. They fire people for no cause, and the safety is a joke. DO NOT WORK HERE!!!!

Ever changing no one stayed too long constantly training

Work at your machine and just get the day over pretty much

Worked there for over a year. Management treated everyone like they are disposable. We were always chasing orders to get our work done. Management could not handle the truth when spoken to about issues. Never helped the people that were loyal to them. We kept getting told things would "get better" for months, never happened. The co-workers were the best part about the job. Overall a terrible experience.

People are in positions due to time or favourtism. There is a high lack of proper understanding of management and people skills. More time spent treating employees with respect will ensure the company's future. It will continue being a revolving door otherwise.

I have been there for 6 years and have not had a raise in 2 years I mak .75 more than new people starting.  We have gone through 5 HR people in 2 years. I have talked to my supervisor  lead hand and 3 HR people I have not had a review in 2 years. Most of my co workers are unhappy because there is no communication.
