Great place to work, but if you live far from the office it's not worth making the travel as gas prices and the rate of pay don't allow much of a pay cheque after gas - insurance - up keep. 

Definitely  a great place if you are disabled or have serious health concerns as they are VERY understanding and somewhat caring. 

Big thumbs up for the owner and his son and only 1 or 2 of the management crew.

 But if your looking to move up to something different it may take you year's to pursue if your lucky. 

 I personally wanted to move into funeral director but this was never offered such as schooling and offers for tuition help was never provided yet the owner is part of a college funeral services program. 

Overall great place to work if you live close and don't want to move up.

You show up, and you never know what is in store. You could be off on time or working for the next 16 hours straight, there were no incentives for working overnight. You could be embalming for 12 hours straight then have to  drive to go do  night calls. The most enjoyable part of the job was the people you worked with, it was always truly a team effort, management was fair. Honestly the only thing they needed to work on was the scheduling and the fact that it consumed your life. Your life was work, which is ok to some extent.

Would never recommend anyone to work here. If you enjoy being tired, stepped on, treated poorly by all the supervisors and staff then I recommend it. Find a real funeral home where they treat you like a human being. This place has the highest turnover rate for a reason and it’s thanks to how the supervisors and GM treat the staff. Take my advice and avoid this place, the best decision I made was going to a funeral home and seeing the difference immediately

Worst company I've ever worked for. Within months my gut was telling me to leave:

-Failure to listen to employees concerns 
-Very disorganized
-Constant lack of clarity around procedures
-Inconsistent policies 
-Extremely TOXIC/GOSSIPY work culture
-Upper mgmt has poor/borderline no leadership skills
-Employment Standards Act isn't followed 
-No work life balance (12w 12o/c 12w) work on-call
-Zero training
-Passive-aggressive communication
-Won't be spoken too or treated in a professional manner
***VERY HIGH TURNOVER RATE***

Like said--USMC
and anyone who works there is your boss if your the new girl.
No empathy, no sympathy, no complaints allowed. WORK AND BEQUIET.
Oh and if you are ten minutes late to a call you better have a darn good reason.
Book your calls because you will not get paid right.
Do yourself a favour run from this overworked overrated place. MANAGEMENT IS TOTALLY OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE EXPECTATIONS PLACED ON STAFF TO DO SEVERAL CALLS A DAY.


There is not enough work to go around as it is. Many people are leaving to go with other companies because you can go days at a time without a call. 
If you just want to sit around the house all day, but get to tell people that you have a job, this is the place for you. 
They also pay some of the lowest wages in the industry. Often their competitors pay anywhere from 5 to 7/hour higher.

This is a very high standard funeral suport company that expects a lot from the employee, such as very long hours and lifting extreme weight, management can be very cruel and disrespectful. Yet it is not an easy rob and you can see a lot of nasty things.

A small company with a huge heart. Does more for the integrity and professionalism of the industry than any other company. Searches out and hires the best in the industry. Their past track record is the key to their success.

I worked here part time.  Got to see stuff but the employer and managers don't care if you get hurt or not. Know when you are in a situation to get hurt and demand back up.  There is no reward there for being a hero.
