I learned a lot at this work place in the small CS department, we had a lot of really good co-workers here that all knew how the department worked and would be willing to help you with anything that you needed if you happened to be struggling with tasks. 

I found that the hardest part of the job was the constant turnover of Management as well as the fact that the workplace seems to put more into Sales than Customer Service. We just seemed to be a blip on the radar most days. I understand that you need to have sales in order to have customer service but it would be nice if they showed more appreciation for the department than what they did. 

When I had left the company they were in the works of making sure that this department had more people where they felt less overwhelmed with the tasks at hand as well as more incentives that are on par with what is offered to sales people but I don't foresee that coming to fruition anytime soon.

The schedule is very unpredictable, new agents get a lot of evening shifts with 1 day off at a time. Management expect miracles and can not help with basic issues because they do not know how to do agents jobs, difficult to make commission without using shady tactics, high turnover means that the work environment is very hostile, no advancement  opportunities and not enough reward for the amount of work agents put in. New agents also treated like trash by scheduling manager and by older agents. 

The president and the COO are running this once great company into the ground.  From upper management to the most junior agent, there is a corporate culture of unrest, distrust and negativity.  Turnover in the last several years has been astounding, with over 75 people being terminated, laid off or forced out.  Multiple complaints have been filed with the Labour Board, and still the president and COO blunder on blaming others for their missteps and failings.  A sad state of affairs.  Run from this company.

This has got to be one of the most toxic work environment I have ever been in.  From the owners being so wrapped up in their own personal lives and bringing that dysfunction into the workplace. To them having their “favorites” and treating those individuals differently, to partying on the job.  It was a very disorganized and toxic workplace with very low morale.  I would not recommend this company to anyone to work as an employee!

This place is the most unorganized and terribly managed work place. The sales managers are best friends with the sales agents and don’t discipline for anything. They have no sales knowledge at all and their director just chooses favourites and has no idea about sales. Avoid this place at all cost. Don’t waste your time. This place will be run into the ground under this director and his Sales Managers.

Worked at Magellan for a number of years. Had some great experiences. Realistically, it is a commissioned sales role. There are going to be shark behaviors. The pay was quite nice during my tenure with good commission if you are willing to put the work in. Work/life balance was tough as there were often long stretches between days off. Management has changed over several times, it was hard to get used to a constant change in management methods. 

One of the worst work places cultures I’ve ever experienced, your all out to steal eachothers comm, the manager was rude and not approachable, you make little to no comm compared to other travel sales roles, people got promoted not based on experience or time put in but rather on who you knew, you won’t get phone calls unless extremely busy, the top sales agents always got the first calls that came in, you were set up to fail.

I never worked overtime at this company. Management was great, I had no problems there. The hardest part of the job is the isolation. It is a call centre so there's not as much face to face interaction. The best part of the job is the people. Everyone there is really great!

Magellan is a fantastic company. People are at the heart of everything they do. It is fast paced, collaborative, and fun. A company with so much heart! They invest in their people and their culture. Truly a great company!

Magellan luxury hotels only cares about the top 3 agents of the company, If you are below that you are not worth there time or energy. They cannot keep a director and since the owner moved to the US it has been  downwards spiral.
