A typical day usually goes for 8 hours caring for patients along with managing medical supplies. The hospital is a good starting point for learning modern approaches to healthcare, including the use of mobile computers designed for on-the-spot care. Management is quite friendly, attributing to the hospitality of Filipinos working. The workplace requires a good sense of teamwork, though individual competence also has its place.

As an experience in modern healthcare settings, the work requires you to familiarize yourself with systems like iHIMs, which adds a rather large responsibility to properly charge patients, as it is a private hospital. The camaraderie you and your colleagues can have on the job makes many of your work days enjoyable.

Every day is a busy day in Makati Medical Center, I get to admit and discharge patient everyday, I get to prepare them for surgery, and I get to bathe babies everyday. I learned that being a nurse takes more than perseverance and effort, you have to provide genuine care for your patients. The management is supportive of your career advancement. The hardest part of the job is when you have too much workload and you get to go home more than your shift hours.The most enjoyable part of the job is that I get to handle cute little babies and that I get to have long rest days in a week.

Great managamement not perfect but with so much care to its employees specially during the Covid era. Stressful work but manageable with the presence of coworkers. You will have sense of purpose providing service and care to patients. You will learn and develop along the way the MALASAKIT attitude. Good medical coverage for employees when it comes to medicine, procedures, consultation even to your primary dependents. With Bonuses, christmas package and activities boosting employee morale. 

The hardest part in the job was even if there's a typhoon and flood in the Philippines you will still go to work. I learned how to treasure all the things my work taught me even if it's financially, physically and emotionally. The work place in our company was a culture friendly and ambience.

I was sexually harassed by the surgical residents, and another doctor said the residents set out to get me to quit. I gained confidence in my practice of medicine and was able to go to Stanford because Makati Med is the sister hospital with Stanford having telemedicine regularly and speakers from Stanford to Makati Med.

Working here was a bit of a challenge. Either you adapt to their culture, or if yous peak out, you'll be transferred to another department. There are nice benefits to it though, and some days are easier than the other. You just need to get to know everyone, on top of knowing your job.

I  learned a lot from this Hospital as a Radiographer and helped me grow  with my personal and professional  growth. I learned how to work on different types and cases of patient.
