The only good thing about working here is that the schedule was very flexible. Since I was a student while working here, I was able to work around my schedule with no issues. I could get the days I needed. 
The work in general was not bad as it was extra cash during university. The management is very poor. I found that there was too much bias and you were not treated as an equal. Some people had the freedom to do whatever they pleased. The breaks were harsh. I only got a 30 minute lunch, regardless of my shift. Some people in the management were OK since they would give you an extra 10-15 minutes to rest as the job involves you being on your feet for very long hours. Most other people in the management expect you to work like a robot. I would not recommend working here.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I find my self doing a good job . Having fun dealing with the customers. It makes me doing. A lot of friends .and this encourager me to you in a good mod .Of course we have good days and bad days it is normal  . 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
We can scan the items because it is not in the système and that keep the customers waiting a long time infront the cash.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
 Normal.Doing my job following the instructions that sometimes change by the company

A typical day at work for me is standing for 11 hours since I do a 8AM to 7PM shift. I learned how to deal with customers and help them with their needs. I learned how to interact properly with the customers and my coworkers as well. The managers there are great and they're very helpful and understanding. There's no hard part at this job. Everything is so easy going since it has become a habit for me to work there. The most enjoyable part of the job is talking with the amazing employees around me and help each other out when needed.

I had a challenging experience due to the management. The work environment was not very supportive, which made it difficult to perform my duties effectively. The managers often lacked clear communication and were not very approachable, which created a stressful atmosphere. Despite these challenges, I learned a lot about handling difficult situations and managing customer interactions. I believe this experience has strengthened my resilience and problem-solving skills, which I can bring to a more supportive and positive work environment.

I got promotion in the company in first year even though I could hardly speak French. I learned French at work. My starting wage was 10 dollars in two years it increased to 12 dollars. I left my job due to moving to the States. They companies director has promised me that he will rehire me at any time. Adonis is a grocery store with almost 400 employees. All the employees from director to floor employees are united and family bond. We worked as a team in order to have a great service.

The more you achieve, the more you get to power trip. The manger of this place is nothing but a corrupted mind. Trust me, go work somewhere where there is no dominance over you. The people working there are great, such as your the people from other departments, but when it comes to people on top of the department, it is not worth working there. They take advantage from the rights of the people. They exploit you and what is required of you and then make you feel bad. 

the management is very toxic and condescending. overworked and under staffed. I learned never trust managers. work place culture ok. Some employees are enjoyable. I would not even tell my worst enemy to come work in Adonis.


I have been working at Marche Adonis in Mississauga for a year, and I had fun working with my colleagues and with my manager. They are very nice and good atmosphere to work at. I would highly recommend working at Adonis in Mississauga. Some people might say it is a horrible place, that is because they did something wrong to say it is a horrible place. If you do what you are told to and make sure that you do not cause much trouble, then you are pretty good.

This is an amazing place to work with the people around, but the company needs to give us more benefits and ensure our safety and health of the store. It's almost like slave work with everything you have to put up with, but hopefully that all improves in the future.

Because everyone is Arabic, they don’t accept the other cultures, all the time they speak to their language, they don’t care if you don’t understand their language. Totally they are racist. They care about their compatriots
