Marconi Club

I enjoy working at the Marconi Club because the staff is very professional and encouraging. A typical day at work would usually be within the 8-10 hour range. I learned multiple skills like table setting and proper food prep. Management sometimes slacked on getting checks signed but other than that I have enjoyed getting to know everyone in management and they're all professional. Workplace culture was excellent I often found myself enjoying shifts with social and professional co-workers that would help me get the job done faster and more efficiently without any decrease in performance.

I worked here for one day through an employment counselor on the understanding I would get regular shifts when they required extra hands for events. A few weeks passed, and after she sent a message to them on my behalf we were told they were no longer interested without giving any reason why. 

Since I did everything I was asked there the one day I worked, I feel I was either not given a fair chance or the victim of the owner deciding to reneg on a deal, which is simply bad business. Everyone I worked with and spoke to was nice, but just from my personal experience I wouldn't suggest relying on fair treatment from the Marconi. I'm quite disappointed a reputable place in the Sault did things this way.

It was just banquet shifts so the money was okay but I would enjoy a job I could work with during the week. I learned a lot from this previous job like personal interaction with the customers and I feel like I am up to standard to take on a position at your store. The hardest part of the job was probably how little hours I got, I really enjoyed the experience but I didn't get much time to spend there. I love interacting with all the different customers, and I just enjoy retail so much.

typical day of work was bringing food to your assigned tables, usually 3-4 tables per shift. I learned customer service and how to work under pressure. The training was very minuscule and we didn't get paid. Also, the servers would go home early (once done serving dinner/dessert) and cleaning staff would take our tips from us while management didn't do anything about it. The hardest part of the job would have to be pleasing the customers. The best part was the free supper afterwards.

A typical day at work at Marconi would start with staff preparing the food and banquet halls for the event that would take place. Most of us would work long hours, because of the events. I learned how to properly serve guests their food and drinks, and typical restaurant mannerisms. The hardest part of the job was working the long hours and not receiving a long enough break.

Working at the Marconi clubs provides me with a comfortable working environment. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. By working at the Marconi Club I have learned crucial customer service skills, such as how to fill a difficult customer request, deal with unhappy customers and adjust to certain working environments.

I started working there about 3 days after the interview, instantly got the hang o f the routine and about a week later Marconi hired more people who i got the chance to train. Marconi Club would take our tips and keep them, which was okay other then the fact they were ours from serving people. overall it was a good place to work

for someone who has major anxiety and finds a job at Marconi hall and is finally comfortable with their job, and is told they don't need you anymore because Christmas is over is a really awful feeling.

No scheduling, they call you a day or two before shifts, and if you dont answer, arent home, available whatever its always your fault.

NEVER a schedule made, nobody communicates there, manger to manger there is always something wrong.

Manengment were hard on the staff and went threw many employees. Due to this fact the staff were ussaly undertrained and often didnt show up. This led to a stressfull work environment.
