What is the best part of working at the company?
Everyone's very friendly and helpful.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The need to be able to respond very quickly to requests for assistance with complex itineraries repricing and travel disruptions. Each airline's resolution protocol was different. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Demanding but mostly friendly.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Taking agents' calls and responding to their queries that came in by email or over the phone. Testing itineraries or compliance with commercial contracts and sending the feedback back to the manager. Keeping abreast of airline promotions and updates to their servicing and travel disruptions related protocols and assisting and advise the agents on these developments.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The friendly atmosphere , helpful colleagues, working as part of a team and the genuine dedication to customer satisfaction.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Troubleshooting ticket and documents issue and reissue on an urgent basis.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very friendly and supportive, positive teamwork.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Receiving and dealing with problem ticket fares and reissues. Assisting colleagues and testing vendor contracts.

Travel discounts and industry trips aka FAMS 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
high demand and stress for a very low value product that most people are capable of doing themselves 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Staff who are all quite advanced in age. A lot of pining for how good the industry used to be while stressing about how much you currently have to do for less compensation/reward. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
log in, read through emails, make task list, complete  tasks as long as you are not interrupted by a walk in or a phone call.

On the whole I enjoyed the job and worked more hours than required or asked. This attitude was very counter to the work ethic and the overall attitude by the staff to their job and employer was very mixed and not entirely satisfying

I gained practical GDS skills that I did not have previously. Also discovered new destinations that I had not sold in other markets.

There was not a particular hard part to the job. Client expectation was both at times difficult and highly satisfying

Travel opportunities.  The company supports education by first hand experience. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Knowing you assisted your clients in choosing the right vacation for their family.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
More good days than bad ones.  If you are a top seller, you do very well.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It’s retail, so there can be sales pressures, however, the problem solving aspect is rewarding.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great IT manager, small IT team so you get to do everything

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not a stressful place to work, but business people have low IT literacy which can make analysis, software design challenging at times

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pretty good culture, friendly and colkegial

It's a good company to work for management is easygoing if you work hard they will look after you. There is always help or somebody to help you your teammates are all about working together so overall I would give this company thumbs up

I worked with the company for 3 years in the head office in Halifax.  A lot of the work was easy and simple and they would let me do more once they felt I could handle it. I always felt appreciated and that they valued me in the company and would tell anyone if they were offered the chance to work for them that it is an amazing opportunity 

This is a company I would reccommend to anyone in the Travel Industry, looking. They truly believe in a work / life balance and are supportive of their employees in all aspects, which creates a more productive working environment. There is a reason they're continually voted as one of Canada's top rated employers year after year. Well managed

Maritime Travel was a job that definately challenged me every day.  I was able to learn to overcome obstacles and challenges.  I was able to work on my Customer Service Skills by working with all different types of clients.  I learned to think outside the box and challenge myself in finding new skills to learn.
