The only positive to this job is that schedules are flexible and some of the management is understanding. You also get the luxury of having a lot of time to read or do any sort of seated, quiet work so long as you don't idle.

The net positive however is outweighed by a purely unnecessary job. The "surveys" are long, redundant, and essentially advertising ploys for some big energy companies which their customers have no control or voice over. You sometimes get cellphone feedback surveys which go quick and sometimes health based ones but often you're stuck on poorly written surveys which just aggravate the respondent. Any attempt to cut corners will get you written up so getting any progress is near impossible. All this somehow makes a 7 hour work day with an hour's worth of breaks a brutal shift..

If you can switch off your empathy and pride, you'll do fine as those two things will quickly overcome whatever benefit you think you're getting from the job. You need to see your respondents as nothing more than a voice over the phone. If you can somehow swallow this, perhaps it's a good fit but I don't think it's good for anyone's mental health long term and I question the motives of this type of work when it relies on hiring people who have difficulties getting jobs. 

Another issue is the supervisor positions which hone in on you if you do something wrong. They are quick to write you up if you fall out of line and your bathroom breaks are heavily policed which I think should warrant government investigation. Management is fine but never got a chance to meet anyone higher up than that and I expect little.

Not worth it unless you need something fast and dirty. Move on after.

A typical day of work is you get briefed on a project go through test and then dial it when the shift starts. you repeat the same script over and over again with very little deviation and hear the same responses repeated in a slightly different manner. the place while never confirmed has had bedbugs among other things. everyone there is miserable because its a minimum wage job until you get a raise (10 cents - 25 cents) every 3 months. the supervisors for the most part are pretty cool and laid back there are some however who will snap at you for leaving work 5 mins meanwhile you watch 5 -10 coworkers walking off the floor 30 mins before the end of the shift and nothing is said about it. 

the good thing about this job though is that it has very flexible hours you do get 80% coverage on medical and dental if you work more than 26 hours a week. you can pick and choose from the following options 1 weekend shift (10am-630pm Saturday) or (Sunday 11am to 7:30pm) and work a minimum of 16 hours a week Monday - Friday you get the pick any days you want and can work from 5pm to -9pm or 10pm or if you are on a certain project you can dial to 11pm because of time zones. 

you can take your 15 mins break (4-5 hour shift) or 30 min break (6 hour shift) or hour break (sat or Sunday or early starts on a certain project as long as its an 8 hour shift.) anytime you like as long as its not in the hour after the start of the shift or the end of your shift.

in my personal opinion from working here. its a great job for people who can't do physical labor jobs such as trades or factory or if you are a student or a retired person looking to make some spending cash. but not something i would recommend for a long career out of it as there is no real opportunity to advance up the ladder here.

Conduct research to gather information about survey topics.
Analyze data from surveys, old records, or case studies, using statistical software.
Write training manuals to be used by survey interviewers.
Collaborate with other researchers in the planning and evaluation of surveys.
Direct and review the work of staff members, including survey support staff and interviewers who gather survey data.
Direct updates and changes in survey implementation and methods.
Monitor and evaluate survey progress and performance, using sample disposition reports and response rate calculations.

The management is a joke.
They act like its high school, some supervisors spend an entire shift chatting instead of working or helping when needed. Upper management plays serious favourites, allowing for extra breaks, long absences without explanation, leaving early and breaking floor rules. 
Management has verbally attacked other employees claiming they know better than the employee about personal information. 
They can and will take your hours or lay you off whenever they desire without informing you. They will end your shift early if they feel like it, and make you stay when you are visibly sick. 
Some employees are known to deal on floor while working and some managers purchase what is being dealt.

It would get boring at some times with particular projects, but overall it was a good place to work with some pretty good benefits and a flexible schedule. Sometimes pizza parties or raffles. At the end of the year, find a seasonal job because your hours will decline because that is when MSI's clients analyze all the data you have been collecting for them all year. When they are busy you can get extra shifts and hours.

This job was very flexible for a student's schedule and I was very appreciative of their flexibility and of them allowing students to do school work while at school. A typical day at work was very laid back and many of the co-workers, along with managers and supervisors were very kind and easy going. The job is very casual in terms of wardrobe. You will meet a lot of different types of people of all ages in this workplace. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

This is probably the worst job I've ever worked. The demographic of the office is old ladies and bratty teenagers. The supervisors and nice enough, but play favourites like there's no tomorrow. There is no room for advancement, and getting a raise is next to impossible. The office atmosphere is depressing, the work is stressful, and the pay sucks.

Typical Day Is Calling to do surveys and recording Information a lot of sitting but lots of flexibility when it comes to working and hours, co-workers were all great and Made lots of friends. Hardest part for me was sitting after sitting at school all day, found it hard to stay awake, during slow periods. Most enjoyable part was having time to myself and being able to multi-task on homework or to doodle well on the job.

Generally you sign in and wait for announcements and at 5 pm you,start dialing.They were very good on breaks. 
Atmosphere very good.Some surveys had silly unnecessary questions that were over long.

Very inclusive environment. Most supervisors are helpful and friendly. Job can be very repetitive so must be able to handle that. Very flexible and understanding with time off requests and schedules.
The only thing I didn't like is there seemed to be some favoritism. Some employees get away with things others would be let go for.
