Leadership is non existent! Leadership by fear is how this organization is run! The SVP has no clue how to run a business and yells and screams at people because he knows nothing! He takes credit for everything good which is not allot and gives a beat down when things don't go as planned....which is always!

Shame on CDN Tire for allowing this type of leadership to manifest in the organization! When everything is wrong where do you start? Clean house! Many good people have left and others are close behind!

If you are looking to join a company that sucks all of the energy and self esteem out of you...then this is it! Good luck!

Management is single handedly killing this department by their poor planning, non-existent training, lack of managing style!

All around most of the jobs are stressful & not worth the pay, the people are kind and try to look out for each other and help where they can. However, the job at hand is PAINFUL! You work with a broken computer system that is antiquated and nobody understands it fully. Mistakes, Missing orders, Rushes are a EVERYDAY thing, and nothing ever improves. Very high stress environment when everything is always going wrong, all-day, every day!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Most coworkers. Managements sucks except evening superviser.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management and micro managing. How they lie and say one thing but then say another to cover their own butts

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Depends evenings we were a team as well as family and everyone else well back stabing and throwing each other under the bus when really you were not involved at all.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Anxiety, panic attacks, stressfull

Canadian Tire hired a bully to run Mark's Commercial.  Management by fear.  Every conference call starts with scolding and criticism.  He is unethical and makes chiding remarks.  Someone should contact HR about the bullying and harrassment.  For example:  "If you don't wake up every morning fearing you will lose your job, then you're not all in..... If you don't get on board with our changes, then go pass out stickers at Wal Mart...."  Really pathetic man.

This was a typical Monday to Friday office job.  The hardest part of the job was dealing with angry sales people and customers when things are completely out of your control.  Co-workers made it worth while and social activities such as corporate challenge, food trucks, and planned events added some fun to the day.

I worked in the call centre and it is not fun. The customers are fine, but the job was stressful with not much meaning in the end result. You had to work your lunch and time around everyone else because you have “be on the phones”.

I learned a lot in my time at Marks Commercial. I had a really great manager which helped a lot. Not sure about the other departments but mine was great. We were a small team of three and we shared the workload fairly.

Mark's Commercial is in the process of rebuilding itself. This includes its entire approach to the customer and market, as well as its internal business processes. This creates massive opportunity to make a difference.

Promise promotions and then get you to train your replacement.  Worst managers ever.  People are stressed and backstab each other.  No job descriptions that are actuate 

Work your butt of for minimal reward. Lack of feeling of value. Not compensated for your efforts.
Customers are great, opportunity to make great contacts
