Mayfair provide you all required tools and support to be succeeded in your job and it is up to you how you want to be successful. You need to be a motivated, consistent, positive, and growth-oriented person to build your classes. The reward is more teaching opportunities and a group of people that become your family.
For administrative and general positions, you always have a room to grow, support and excel your customer service. 

The interviews comprise structured behavioral questions and experience verification questions based on Mayfair values. The whole process takes approximately two weeks or lesser.

Working at Mayfair Clubs has been a really positive experience. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is friendly and supportive. As a swim instructor and lifeguard, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide range of ages and skill levels, which has helped me improve my teaching and communication skills.

The team is great — everyone is helpful and encouraging, and management genuinely cares about safety and member experience. Scheduling is flexible, which makes it easy to balance work with school or other commitments. The complimentary club membership is a fantastic perk, and it’s nice to be part of a community that values health and wellness.

Overall, Mayfair Clubs is a great place to build experience, develop your skills, and work in a positive, team-oriented environment. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone interested in aquatics or fitness.

Disgusting company to work for. They have no sense of loyalty. I'm surprised Ontario Labor Board hasn't fined this place or that the Ontario Human rights commission hasn't been here.They cheat you out holiday pays, you will never get raise, there is no benefit programs unless your management. There is no staff lunch room, so staff are struggling to find a place to eat. The poor maintenance stuff eats out of the laundry room where they stock all bleach, soap, chemicals etc. Which I am pretty sure is a health hazard. Management constantly lies because the club manager herself is a pathological liar. If they want this place to do better the CEO needs to get rid of the club manager and certain department managers such as fitness,bistro, maintenance & sports & social. Ontario Labor Board/ human rights commission needs to go there and speak with the staff in confidential.

I have nothing but good things to say about mayfair clubs. From the day of my interview till date everyone in this organization has been professional and treated me with utmost respect. Mayfair has really been fair with the work life balance. I work at the East and parkway location and all the employees there starting from the higher management to the maintenance staff all of them have been so good and helpful. My General manager was such great guy to work with. He was so understanding and patient with everything and never micro managed which always brings the best out of you.I would recommend anyone to work at mayfair and I can confidently say this because of my personal experience. You are overworked and extremely  underpaid for the amount of expectation the management's has. There is no incentives at this company, how can you be a health club and not offer any benefits. There's no staff room/ lunch room for employees. HR is non existing. You can make a formal complaint and instead of HR investigating they just make assumption based on what management says. Manager's/ supervisors here are bullies, manipulative and wants to micro manage everything. Instead of helping you grow, they like to belittle you and there is no appreciation or loyalty. Members/clients and co workers here are great but not enough reason for you to stick around.

Ontario Employment Standards Act and Ontario Human Rights Code seem not to apply at Mayfair Clubs.
A horribly dysfunctional organization with rampant harassment, bigotry, bullying and assault among staff, members against staff, and staff toward some members.
Constant member complaints of vermin, disrepair, foreign objects in food, and rampant health and safety violations...far from luxurious.
It’s a wonder this place has not been shut down. 
Do yourself a favour and get a part-time job at Goodlife instead.
(Leadership is micro-managed and expected to be on call 24/7 by three sibling owners who make up the “Board of Directors”)

This company has a complete lack of care for employees. Turnover is insanely high because they treat employees like garbage. Management has favorites - rules do not apply to those favorites but are strictly enforced for everyone else. Staff members who have been accused of inappropriate behaviour more than once remain on staff. Management sends employees out to gather information from others to report back to him and gather a case to dismiss them without severance. Never experienced such a toxic and manipulative work environment in my entire professional career. 

I have worked at Mayfair for almost 6 years and have had the pleasure of working in 3 of the 4 locations, getting to know and work with wonderful teams and management.  If you are willing to focus and genuinely care about your role, management is quite supportive and rewards it's team members with advancement.  Also a great fun culture, emphasizing family life, recreation and sport.   If you are open to it, you will be made to feel like family.

Being a members-only health club Management will never have your back and are not easy to talk too. I used to work in the restaurant and was inappropriately propositioned and spoken to by male members constantly and nothing was ever done as they are "paying members". Its a thankless place to work overall but if you just need a job it will fill the part until you move on. They don't really care about staff, everyone is replaceable.

The interview process was misleading.
 Members are rude and they usually tell you " you should look for another job" 
Upper Management want you to over perform without giving you any support.
Staff are set to their olds ways maagement does not want support. ( some of the staff steal from the company)
People in other departments always try get involve without having any experience.
Pay was good but not worth the stress.
