MCIS is a great company to work for as they provide excellent work/life balance, allowing you to chose which projects to take and which to decline. The compensation is very good.
MCIS is easy to reach and has very good staff and management.
I've learnt to work freelance, I've perfected my language skills (communication, professionalism and interpretation in itself). I work with people that are friendly and professional.
Hardest part of the job is getting to appointments on time and finding the places without trouble and also working with the vulnerable sector and/or people in distress. 
Most enjoyable part of the job is being able to help people communicate their distress and getting assistance.

i joined MCIS team of interpreters in montreal to fulfill the promise of the liberal party arriving into office, of taking into canada a total of 25,000 Syrian refugees . I was directed to work with service canada facilitating the issuance of social security number for refugees arriving into the port of montreal . interpreters were scheduled based on time of arrival of flights carrying refugees & serving each in their designated area .That was an enriching experience serving a great cause .

I have been working as a freelance interpreter for a while now. It is a very good place to work for if you are looking for a job with flexibility in working hours and times. Hourly pay is good but not too much assignments, you can work minimum 4 hours per month if you are quick enough to accept the jobs sent to your email.  Communication is a plus as you can always find someone to help if you have any questions about anythibg related to your job.

If you are bi-lingual, enjoy interacting with and helping people, interpreting is a rewarding job. Furthermore, MCIS is a respected agency in the field.

As a free lance interpreter I get to chose what assignments I am able to fulfill and the management team is always understanding of any circumstances we could potentially come across.

MCIS is a great company with a very good management team. They are always willing to help and answer my questions.
There are also paid training courses that are very good resources for new interpreters.

I like working in the MCIS but they don't have enough work in my area. I need more job because i have a big house mortgage to bay and a lot of things to bay for.
